That have helped try and bridge these inequalities. TechHire was one such program that sought to close the gaps. It provided free training and internships to those in underrepresented communities who didn’t have the privilege to quit their jobs or work/learn for free

There’s no secret tech has an income and diversity problem but this excuse “if making things better for some will make it better for the already ok, we shouldn’t do it” isn’t really a great way to lean. For example there have been programs

This is a good take. I bought a Divi lifetime license ages ago and when I need to spin something nice up quick or play with a theme for a course, it's so so so nice to just have this robust theme on hand.

That said, if for some reason you ask me to pick between Full Site Editing with the Block Editor, signing up for Wix, or using Divi... I’ll choose Divi every single time. (9/9)

As a developer, creating highly customized and hand-coded WordPress websites is still by far my preferred method of building websites.  I love building good WordPress websites, and there’s nothing that will convince me there’s a better way to do it. (8/9)

has some big questions to address. They’re too invested to ditch FSE altogether, but how much farther down the road of trying to appease everyone can they go until their core product gets diluted to the point where it’s indistinguishable from everything else? (7/9)

It was a total game changer. When it comes down to it, what I think most people really want is something that "just works." (6/9)

All of a sudden building a website with Divi felt similar to how I would build hand-coded sites. I could go in and set some defaults and variables. Build out a header and a footer, then a home page. Create a few reusable single column, 2-column, and 3-column templates. (5/9)

I’ll be honest – the first couple websites I built with Divi were a total nightmare.  I HATED it.  Then the big update happened.  The Divi theme introduced the ability to edit the header, footer, and any other page template with the Divi builder. (4/9)

core Full Site Editing seems to be trying to play to the middle ground here when there really isn’t much of one, and as much as it pains me to say it, this may actually be a place better suited for (yes, I’m saying it) Divi. (3/9)

There are two camps of WordPress users: hobbyists (who want an outlet for their ideas and creativity) and professionals (people who are using WordPress as a platform on which to build scalable and functional websites for businesses). (2/9)

The case for (yes, seriously) A thread from on why ' Divi is his go-to for drag-and-drop building, even over core full-site editing and Gutenberg blocks. (1/9)

As a person who has spoken at WordCamps across the US, I want to get excited at this thought but the reality is a little bleak. However, the amount of work that goes into delivering a talk in this space is oddly different than others, takes more heart in some ways.

You think you're tough - but are you "write an article in support of Divi and throw it at the twitter crowd with reckless abandon" tough? CC

Really interesting , I excel at hand-built WP sites w/custom post types & , but want something to offer lower budget clients w/o going broke.

I agree with and that localized events solve the travel-cost issues, but for US/Europe and other big ones, travel is inevitable and the financial equation needs to reflect that.
