    The only “winners” in war are murderous dictators & their oligarch circle at the top, to the actual people the war is always ultimately a loss & a tragedy

    Russia has mandatory conscription for men ages 18-27. Many of these soldiers aren’t bloodthirsty ideologues; they’re boys who didn’t have enough money to weasel their way out of service. I fully support Ukraine and its defenders, but I won’t be celebrating Russian casualties.

    A decade ago, a 17-year-old Black teenager left his father’s home in Florida to go to the store at night. He left with tea, a small bag of Skittles and his hoodie. He never made it back home. The teen’s name is Trayvon Martin. He died on Feb. 26, 2012.
