Oren, our contractor with SOD Home Group, proved that house construction projects don’t have to be a nightmare but can be a pleasure if you find the right person to take you through it. Our old house seriously needed a remodel, and I didn’t have any personal preferences for any contractor; I lucked out when Oren came to interview. I liked Oren’s friendly, straightforward manner, devoid of slickness or hard sell, and his experience in construction was obvious as he walked me through the process. Oren spent time in the planning stage to find out what I wanted and discussed ideas that would work with the space. This is important: he is not the designer, he is the builder and will tell you what is structurally possible. Once a plan is agreed upon, his designer Eden put everything in several designs and after this stage is approved… then the crew do the work but i selected the fixtures, tile, paint color, etc. Oren had many useful resources to help, but I had a great idea of what I wanted needed. On the business end, once I committed to the job, the contract was clear, covering a schedule of payments and stages. Oren kept me up to date with what he needed from my end and when the crew was going to show up, etc..; all the teams came on time and work diligently. What a great combination: an experienced contractor with talented people skills who wants me to be happy with the job and makes it pleasant and easy! He’s been there for my every question and issue and gets back to me right away. I’m impressed by Oren’s team, all very professional people who do excellent, clean work while treating the area with respect; there’s not one guy working in my house that I wouldn’t have back (we are all working from home because of the pandemic). I’m impressed by the beautiful work that is being done and how creative and collaborative this team is. So summarizing: I found an honest, personable, skilled contractor backed by a wonderful team of professionals who are doing what they promised. No games here. I feel supported if questions come up and absolutely admire how they do business. The prices are fair and I feel that I have good value and guidance. I’m thrilled with Oren and SOD Home Group (including the staffers at the home office) and wouldn’t go looking anywhere else for my future projects

Great customer service before and after, pleasant and accommodating crew, excellent skilled work, quality product, superior job site service, high level of integrity. The details: The original estimate was higher than we anticipated (not knowing anything about the cost of this kind of work) so we decided to put the installation off for six months. Owner Rick contacted us to negotiate lower price on sooner schedule, bringing the original estimate down by more than $1,000. We handed over our deposit in November for work to commence in February. Within a few days, I had a dental emergency and needed to spend the deposit money. Their finance department agreed to hold the deposit check for two weeks so I could get that done. Greatly appreciated. Communication between then and work days was excellent, though the scheduler did attempt to get the work set up a month sooner than we wanted. Probably just a miscommuniction, because when we said we'd prefer to wait, it was no problem. Materials were delivered as scheduled on a Friday. The delivery guy was timely, polite and efficient. The color choices and detailing were exactly what I'd ordered. Two-man crew Raoul and William showed up on Monday morning and immediately got to work. They spoke with me about what they were planning, confirmed a few details, and made sure we were all on the same page. They moved my iron patio table out of the way and made sure my property was respected throughout the process. They made sure my back gate was secured so when the dogs inevitably snuck out of the house, they couldn't escape. Because it was technically a holiday, I was home all day. I never heard any inappropriate or offensive language, something that often comes with laborers. In fact, they played KLOVE Christian radio (at a reasonable volume) all day. I was particularly impressed by the setting they constructed for the existing patio light. When Rick told me they would run a wire off the light on the wall, I was expecting to get a wire, maybe inside some conduit. Instead, lead worker Raoul built a setting that makes it look like the light was always mounted that way. Beautiful. They asked permission to leave their equipment overnight and tidied up the yard before they left, making sure nothing was left where dogs might get at it. The next morning with the full sun now shining on the mostly-installed cover, Raoul noticed a (very) slight color variation between two of the panels due to sun fade. I certainly hadn't noticed it. He told me he was going to replace the faded panel that day. They could have said nothing and I'd have likely never noticed. You can't pay enough for that kind of integrity. By mid-day the job was finished, and it was wonderful. I arrived back home to find my yard almost as clean as it had been before they arrived (can't do anything about sawdust on grass) with no trace of plastic wrapping or other debris. Even my patio set was back in place. The patio cover is beautiful. I keep looking out the window at it and turning the light on and off. :-) Definitely recommend Rick and his team for renovations and installations. We've got them on our list for a major renovation we're planning in a few years

They wanted over 14 thousand for the patio cover alone, we were going to cancel the idea for this year when we found RFMC at the home show and from that moment on everything changed. - 3D Designs By DavidProject went pretty much on schedule, David (3D)created graphics so we could see how the yard would look. The end result was what we saw in the designs he created. 3D has contractors that he recommends to finish the job as created and timely. He works with your ideas and your pocketbook. Do's 1. Use 3D Design, he is really good about being available and keeping the project going. 2. Use the contractors he recommends and he usually works with. The only problem contractor was the one who built the patio coverings, the end result was wonderful but he had problems following the plan 3D provided. 3. Be involved in the process, actually you won't have a choice for this one. 3D and the contractors will give you suggestions for colors, sizes, minor changes and additions. But you will have the final decision. Don'ts 1. As far as 3D's part in the process I cannot think of anything negative to say. 2. And if you worked with contractors before you know they kind of work on their own schedule, these were pretty good as to getting the job done and being responsive
- SUNSET PATIO & AWNINGWe had asked for several bids from other companies. Jay, as the Sunset Patio owner readily understood our split level concept along with the roof line restrictions. We felt confident in his design of the final product. I was unsure about using a color so we went to his warehouse and he gave us samples to bring home and put against our house. He said the time frame would be 3 weeks and it turned out to be less than 2 weeks.The materials were delivered and the following day his crew was here at 7:30 AM. They completed the job around 2:30 that afternoon. There was no mess, the 2 man crew was very efficient and used their expertise to make some changes that improved the overall symmetry. They said they had been doing this for many years and between the two of them, each knew what had to be done and did it. We are extremely happy with the end results and now considering a patio cover in the front yard to be built by Sunset Patio and Awning. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a patio cover

"Volodymyr Mazhnyy , Owner. Volodymyr was punctual for both visits. Ordered new water dispenser unit. Came back out in a few days and Installed new unit in about 40 mins. He was very friendly and professional. Advised us to clean coils on bottom as they were extremely dusty. Appreciated his timeliness and friendliness.

"This morning I got locked out of my house into my garden. The sliding glass door into my house would not budge open. I was on my deck, dog barking inside, no one anywhere in sight. Then I saw sparemovers.com van across the street - and I yelled "help" and Lando Fehrenbach came running. it took a lot of effort on his part - first searching without luck for my hidden key under ivy bushes in front and then vaulting over a six foot fence to try shoving the door, and finally getting his ladder, donning shoe protective booties, climbing into an open front window, avoiding my frantically barking dog, and letting me back in. I do not have a spa, but if I know anyone who does, I would give this business, and this business owner the highest rating possible. Courteous, and truly helpful. Lando belongs on the top of the list of "kindness of strangers."

"<p>The whole experience was great. Mark, the owner, promptly replied to my communications and came out to give us a quote, which was very reasonable and we scheduled an appointment shortly afterwards. We also got a quote from him to restore our shower and our tub/shower. It was significantly more work and they actually remove and replace the caulking, clean the soap scum and hard water off the tiles and glass, etc. This work pushed the cost over our budget so we decided to wait on that part. </p>
<p>He came with a team of himself and two others and boy did they work fast and thorough. The made short work of my windows and man did they sparkle. There was heavy hard water stains on most of them when we bought the house a few years ago, so I had never been able to see out of them with much clarity before. It was wonderful! They were so clear it was as if the window wasn't even there when I looked outside. Had I known the cost was so reasonable I would have had the windows done a loooong time ago.</p>
<p>The carpets, tile floors, couch, and countertops all came out great as well. You could see the sand sparkle in the almost 30 year old grout on the kitchen countertops, which I thought was amazing and didn't expect. The fireplace came out beautifully. There had been a lot of black staining on the mantle and hearth and they got it all cleaned off.</p>
<p>We had a miscommunication that was my fault for assuming and not clarifying. In our bathroom there is tile floor and a tile countertop on a small vanity. When he did the estimate, and went over it before the service, I thought "Guest Bath Tile" would include all the tile, (floor and counter) but I should have made sure rather than assuming. It was my fault. When they were almost finished, I asked about the countertop he said he had just quoted for the floor and I realized the miscommunication had occurred. It was a small countertop and wasn't a huge deal and since I had not clarified during the estimate or when we went over it before the work started, I was fine to leave it undone. However, the woman on his team volunteered to clean the countertop anyway and when I asked Mark to please charge me for the additional work, since it was my mistake, he wouldn't do it. I think that is high quality service that goes above and beyond. I would have been perfectly happy and did not express any displeasure or indicate that I would have been dissatisfied if they didn't clean the countertop, so I don't believe it was "damage control" or anything of the sort. I think they were just showing fantastic customer service. They didn't want me just to be happy and satisfied, but thrilled and impressed, which I am. I am also grateful for the generosity of Mark and his team. </p>
