At the outset let me disclose. I used 5 vendors from Angie's list..4 of them I rated A, except this one. One word...they are not ethical and professional. I have filed a complaint with BBB, but wanted to alert all future customers as well Here are the details.... This service provider provided me a quote to install an exhaust fan on a wall, for $540, which I had accepted. Total work performed exceed $1500. Once their technician arrived, he determined that he could not mount the exhaust on the wall, rather ceiling is a better option. My mistake, I presumed it would cost the same, as it was never mentioned otherwise. Once he installed the fan on the ceiling, he determined that he didn't have the right equipment to mount the exhaust on the roof , hence left the vent open in the attic. Today I receive a quote (after 20 days of previous installation) that it will cost $335 more to complete the job. This is on top of $540, which was charged to me for incomplete job. This is ridiculous as no one ever told me that this would cost more than $875 to install a $100 fan. The provider contends that the scope of work was different. My problem, why I was I not told the same and provided a fresh quote?. Why did they do half the work, when they did not have any approved quote from me? Isn't this a code violation that they left a vent open in my attic, and now I am supposed to find some else to complete their job...Highly unprofessional and unethical behavior to extract more money from your customer.. Caveat to fellow members...BEWARE, and get it in writing, else....

Matt showed up when he said he would and completed everything on time. We are very happy with all the work that was done and would absolutely call him again. Very professional and cleaned up everything after he was done.

Joe is a professional, always on time and responsive. He does quality work and works quickly.

Called Carlos after calling 2 other electrical companies which I gave them F's on Angie"s list. Carlos came over that same afternoon looked at what had to be done and dropped off the estimate the next day. We agreed on a day to do the work and he and Eddie showed up right on time. Did a great job and cleaned up after. Carlos didn't have a plate for the switch in the bedroom but came back the next day and installed it. Should have called him first, my bad. A's all around for Carlos.

He returned the message promptly, and showed up to give the estimate on time. He was able to do the job within a few days; showed up on time; and got it done. Really couldn't ask for more, and we'll have him back again to do any additional electrical work we may need.

Jim was responsive, professional and efficient and diagnosed a nagging problem. We are grateful to have a trustworthy electrician identified and will certainly use JDO Electric next time we need any electrical work done!

Beth Finlayson Electric contacted me promptly to get details needed to correctly set up the job and have the right supplies, and was flexible about scheduling the work. She and an assistant arrived on time, with the right-sized replacement ceiling fan, and answered all the questions I had. It's an older house with some areas updated and others not, and they worked with me to be sure everything was done properly. They completed the "to-do" list efficiently and neatly. Glad I've found a go-to electrician in the area.

EXCELLENT QUALITY, COURTEOUS WORKERS, REASONABLY PRICED, AND NEAT CLEANUP. KNOTCHES WERE PATCHED PROFESSIONALLY. RATHER THAN TAKE THE EASY ROUTE AND RUN WIRE MOLDING ACROSS THE CEILING BEAM FOR THE CEILING FAN LIKE SOME ELECTRICIANS WANTED TO DO, TRICKY WIRE SNAKING INSIDE THE CATHEDRAL CEILING WAS DONE RESULTING IN COMPLETELY HIDDEN WIRING. THE ONLY NEGATIVE WOULD BE THAT WHEN I CONTACTED THE OWNER TO LET HIM KNOW THE CEILING FAN ON/OFF SWITCH WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, HE SUGGESTED I RETURN IT TO THE STORE. I THEN TOOK THE SWITCH COVER OFF, ADJUSTED THE SWITCH SLIGHTLY, PUT THE COVER BACK ON, AND IT WORKS FINE. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SWITCH.
