DiOrio Builders & Designers IncI hired DiOrio Builders to build an addition onto my house with a living area, master bed and bath and additional bedroom. The moment I met Derrick I knew he had knowledge of what needed to be done and the character and integrity to make it happen. He asked the right questions and made suggestions which helped a lot. James coordinated all the activity kept on schedule despite some unforeseen set backs and was able to get subs in when needed. This all happened in the height of covid where supplies were delayed but they were able to stay ahead and account for lead times. They always wore masks and ensured their subs did as well which helped. What I was mostly impressed with was their attention to detail and craftsmanship. The end product looks amazing and I am extremely happy with the end product.- Matt B.

AR Home Renovations CorpAndre and his team were phenomenal. Orginally, we thought we only needed a porch column replaced; however, we found quite a bit of rot in the porch ceiling and deck--not great news for a homeowner. Andre and the team went right to work, drafting options, coordinating sub-contractors, and keeping us in the loop. The team was respectful of our house and cleaned up after each day, to the point where it looked as if work hadn't started. It's not often one bonds with contractors, but we actually enjoyed chatting with them throughout the day. They even fixed items that needed repair inside the house that weren't a part of the contract (at no charge!) Without any reservation, I would recommend these guys for complex rehab jobs.- Greg C.

AR Home Renovations CorpAndre is a complete professional. I couldn't be happier with working with anyone else. He has extensive experience and knowledge of the intricacies of building brand new homes and taking old 100+ year homes and remodeling them to be almost indistinguishable from new construction while still maintaining the character to give it a unique charm. He helped with digging a 5 feet foundation from a 220 year old home and understood what needed to be done in order to ensure a safe work environment and to maintain the structural integrity while making it as expansive as possible. More than his extensive skills and experience Andre is just a standup and honest person. He truly cares about the clients he works with and gives great ideas for what would will look nice and takes them through the process from the very beginning pre construction phases to end with excellent customer service. Hancock Building Associates IncOur experience with Hancock Building Associates was exceptional! We have a split level home and we added on: an additional garage bay, a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, closet) on one side of the home as well as a 20X 20 great room on the other side of the home. In addition, we added a 36' and 22' deck on the back of the home. The entire process was very smooth as the initial meeting with Hancock gave us a great vibe. The quote we got was very detailed and covered all aspects of the project. The detailed quote in conjunction with the very open and candid discussion of the project led us to selecting them. In addition, we had heard great things from others in the town that had used them. The project started AND finished on time and within the budget. The workmanship provided by both the direct Hancock employees and subcontractors was excellent and very focused on the finish details. Their communication at every step was perfect. We were communicated with almost daily to provide updates and next steps of the process. Any communication we sent was responded to very quickly and we were able to meet in person with them anytime that we needed to do so. The end results of the project are breathtaking and we have had multiple people stop at the house commenting on how great it looks. We have recommended Hancock to many others and we would not hesitate to use them again for any upcoming project. Our experience working with the owner (Darrell) and Foreman (Kevin) was outstanding and very professional and I really appreciated their availability and responses. We are completely thrilled with the outcome and will continue to recommend them to anyone in search of contracting projects.- Brian P.

MA Design & Construction CoMA Design and Construction did a wonderful job on our kitchen and main floor remodel. Marc and Raquel helped my husband and I to vision an open floor concept, and they were available beyond their normal business hours to answer both design and installation questions (which we had quite a few). We felt comfortable to both call and text frequently to keep communication open, and they were willing to offer as much design input as possible to make those important decisions much easier. Even when issues arose (as is to be expected with major house projects), Marc was usually at the house that day or the following day to assess the issue and come up with solutions. The workers were polite, punctual, and professional (especially the painting team) who we grew to love! We will certainly use them for future house projects.- Bryan M.

CRJ Enterprise Corpwanted to add a door to section off an area of our upstairs loft and turn it into a room. To do this we needed to move the location of the closet door in that area and also create another door to the adjacent bathroom to allow for two points of access to the bathroom. Carlos was the most professional of the contractors we brought in for an estimate. He was creative in what could be done, offering different options I hadn't considered, and was responsive initially in getting an estimate of the costs. The work took 4-5 weeks between taking things down and moving everything. During the job process, the only issue I had were that at times I was unable to reach Carlos or his workers to schedule the times when they would arrive as these weren't always consistent. It would help to have a clear schedule in advance to prepare ahead of time and coordinate everything as we also have to plan around our jobs and kids. Any minor quality issues I had with the work were addressed by Carlos in a timely manner and I'm happy with the quality of the work. Overall I'm very happy with the end result and would contract with Carlos again. There are some things that could be ironed out but the final product was great!- Jon V.

KENMAC INCI used KENMAC for4 projects, and Ken and Greg did an outstanding job on all 4. They replaced an awning window first and trimmed around it, and it came out great. Then I hired them to replace some really bad sliding windows on a porch, which they replaced with double hung windows and trimmed the outside such that what used to be an eyesore in the neighborhood is now something really nice to look at and makes the porch a nice place to hang out. They then replaced two doors with steel door units, which also came out awesome. Finally, a couple of months age, they enclosed what was a bulkhead entrance to a basement with 3 walls, a roof and a door, and sided the walls to match almost perfectly with what was already on the house. It came out great and looks like it was always there. They are creative in the ways they make things work and meticulous about doing it correctly. I would recommend them for any project that needs doing. Great guys.- James E.

Alex and his team (Geoff - plumber, Bruno - electrician) did an outstanding job. Alex responded to my initial query to Angie's list within 10 minutes..... so fast! He then had the plumber, Geoff out there within several days. Geoff was superb. He replaced the disposal and sink faucet and drain, upgrading the plumbing to code in the process. Thus, the robustness of our plumbing was greatly improved by what Geoff did (bringing our plumbing to code required raising some valves, and converting some metal/plastic interfaces to metal/metal). We did run into one problem, which was that the disposal switch developed a short circuit. Alex quickly had an electrician (Bruno) come by. Bruno did an outstanding job, working quickly but improving the electrical box by adding an extra switch. Thus, once again, the entire system was improved by their high quality work. Geoff in particular ended up spending more time than initially anticipated, so the price was double what was initially quoted, but I felt that a lot more work was done than initially anticipated, the work was high quality, Geoff and Bruno both worked quickly and hard (taking no breaks), so ultimately I felt that the cost was well worth it. Very fair. Alex also manages everything from afar, and does a great job. He responds immediately to subsequent calls and has an excellent interaction style. I would definitely hire them again and strongly recommend them!

In addition to the kitchen, they also remodeled our bathroom. Marco was sensitive to the fact that we only had one bathroom and made sure we were out the facilities for the minimum time possible. Our bathroom remodel was completed with lightning speed which we really appreciated! The kitchen remodel was also speedy. They worked with our requirements for smaller than usual appliances, finding, and even building, cabinets to fit our small kitchen space. Everyone who worked on our projects were very professional, wearing masks and keeping windows open even in the winter months. We're very happy with our new kitchen and bathroom!

Eric's team rebuilt our entire three season room, which was not functional. It is now, thanks to Mike and Brian. It also looks very good! Mike works hard at getting things done, and teaches the younger crew very well. He is structured and trustworthy. He also was patient answering my questions (I always have too many..!). Brian pays great attention to detail! I was impressed by how good the tile work looks, and also how good the finishing of the decking to the landing looks like, which he did. They also had to partly redo the patio, and it looks better than before.
