Nick Lehr and Adrian O'Donoghue were awesome in the design phase, and helped us figure out how to plan it and deal with some complicated drainage issues. The crew that did all the work were diligent, clean and most importantly did really good work. Adrian was here every day supervising the crew and was really communicative, responding to texts immediately. Couldn't recommend them more. And the price of the project was more than reasonable

Israel was there every day Monday through Friday on time without fail. He worked so hard every minute. Israel is an absolute master carpenter. He even found mistakes on the architect’s plan that he fixed with the architect. He was the manager of the huge renovation and worked very well with all the co-workers and subcontractors. He consulted with me daily. Being such a huge job , it’s no surprise he uncovered other areas that needed to be fixed in our century old house, such as dry rot, which he fixed. Israel is very familiar with all aspects of a construction project, and knows how and when to put together all the pieces. He’s such a kind, hard working man, and an expert at his craft. - System PaversI have had the good fortune of working with System Pavers on two major projects - the paving of my driveway, walkway, and front of the house. A few years later they designed and paved an extraordinary backyard terrace and 50 foot retaining wall. The work was exceptional and beautiful. Recently I reached out to them again regarding the need to clean and seal the pavers that are now 5+ years old. Barely a day later I received a text from Adrian O'Donogue, the local project manager. He said he was in the neighborhood and could he come by. Ecstatically, I said yes and 5 minutes later he was at my house. He walked me through everything as he examined the front and back pavers. He advised on how to clean the few pavers that had stains and offered to drop off some sand for the two pavers in the back that could use it. In the end, he said everything was in great shape, no need to do a clean and seal project. He left me with his business card and told me to reach out whenever something comes up.Who does that? His advice and guidance literally saved me thousands of dollars. Not a week later, during a record heat wave, two of the drainage pipes from the terrace collapsed and rolled down a slope in pieces. I immediately reached out to Adrian. Again, he was at my house within a day. In 90 degree heat, he went down the slope, recovered the drainage pipe pieces and fixed them both. Exceptional service is an understatement. Not only does System Pavers do a great job in the first place but they are there for you, even years later. Thank you, Adrian, you are the best
- McGrady FlooringIt went well. Everything was done as and when promised. When they saw little things that needed to be done, they either brought it to my attention or if it was minor just fixed it. Some of the "repairs" made were not standard and they figured out how to make it work. They are not a cookie cutter company and give their full attention to each job. And I felt as if, I was the only job they had at the time and that they were not hurrying to finish so they could collect my money and go to the next job. They had me check after each part of the job to see if I was pleased with their work (I was!:-)) and if I had any sort of issue with the project, they made it right. They came out to do the work on the inside of my home when I first moved to Sacramento in November of 2020 and when I was ready for my backyard to be done, I called them again last month to have them complete the vision I had for the yard. They did so and did a great job. Would I hire them again? Absolutely and I did and will again anytime I need anything done

He turned around the estimate quickly and was able to offer permit services for the City of Oakland. Once confirmed, him and his team came in and completed the driveway within a couple of days. "The foundation of our home in Oak Hills (North Monterey County) was settling. The repair would be a complex undertaking. My wife and I had two separate contractors come in to evaluate and bid on the foundation repair. Both of them said that the job was beyond their capabilities, despite having repaired numerous other foundations. After a prolonged search, we found two companies that were willing to submit bids for the work. One company was from Livermore and the other was Avalon Structural out of Santa Cruz. The bids were close to each other in cost, but the Avalon bid incorporated a lot more structural reinforcement of the foundation. The foundation repair company from Livermore was going to use a coiled steel support and would not guarantee that they could get the foundation level. Avalon Structural used an inordinate amount of galvanized steel pilings driven deep until they met the required resistance to prevent settling. This is a much stronger type of foundation support. In addition to the steel pilings, Avalon’s bid also included a massive steel reinforced concrete support that ran about half the length of the house. Avalon also guaranteed that they could get the foundation level. We decided to go with Avalon and are very happy we did.
Roger, the owner of Avalon Structural, met with me personally. We crawled under the house together as he explained in detail the plans for the repair that had been submitted by the structural engineer, his son Dylan. The construction crew was hard working, pleasant and clean. By clean I mean that the construction area was always left clean and organized at the end of the day. The repair took over a month with a daily crew of four to six men. When the work was complete, our floors and foundation were absolutely level. Now, approximately two years after the completion of work, our foundation has not moved at all.
As a result of our experience with Avalon Structural, I can and do enthusiastically recommend them to anyone considering a foundation repair in the area. I don’t think you will find a company that can do a better job than Roger and his team at Avalon Structural. Five out of five stars!
