It was sentimental to me as a family member gave it to me over 25 years ago. Two weeks later, George brought it back in pristine condition! He basically had to take it apart and begin again, and while doing so, he discovered that several people had worked on it at different times during the years. However, this table is sturdy now, and it truly looks better than it did when I received it 25 years ago. Thank you, George, as your workmanship is not only amazing, but you truly have a gift in resurrecting very old, but sentimentally valuable pieces of furniture
- Furniture MedicI dropped off the chairs (Saving Approx $70 in p/u and delivery fees) and stated that I needed them back within a month (when guests would be arriving for the holidays). Estimate to repair and re-glue was $70 per chair (plus tax). This was cheaper than 3 other furniture repair places - sent photos of the chairs to all before they gave me the estimates. I called back 3 weeks later and was told that they were ready for pick up. Chairs repaired, no issues, have used constantly for 3 months and no creaking or indication that repairs are not permanent

- AAA WoodcraftersWork has included two original antique Italian chairs and two Queen Anne antique reproduction chairs that just needed restoration due to age. Additionally, they repaired a rosewood china hutch and armoire that were damaged during moving. The china hutch had one shattered glass pane and two other panes had separated from their fittings. The wood frame was fractured in two places. The repair is only noticeable if you know where it was broken. Extremely happy with all their work. Some pieces do require a long time to repair, though

Due to the Painted Door's high rating on Angie's list I sent an inquiry via Angie's list process to the Painted Door on a Saturday morning. Within an hour I had an e-mail response from Dylan in my in box. So I called him right then. We discussed the issues and potential resolutions, but agreed he needed to see the pieces to provide the best recommendation. To my surprise based on our experience with other contractors who only work at their convenience M-F 9:00 to 5:00, we arranged for him to come out that Saturday afternoon. He called before he came to confirm. When he arrived he looked over the issues and suggested finish repairs rather than a total re-finish for each piece. Total re-finish would have cost significantly more. Again to our surprise, he suggested he could do the work in our home, not requiring moving the furniture out as we dreaded, and that he could do it at our convenience the next Saturday. He provided a very reasonable estimate including labor and materials and we accepted it. On the day of the work he arrived promptly and well prepared. He conducted the work with little disruption. The results were better than we expected and little different from what we would have gotten from a much higher cost full refinish multiplied by four pieces. Dylan sets the standard for professionalism, politeness and results.We would definitely use him again
