    Today’s run of groceries and supply for Ukrainian refugees here in Varna, Bulgaria. In addition to food, we picked up a bunch of toys and art supplies. We also went to a pharmacy and bought all the medicine they had requested at the refugee center.

    Today’s supply run. One of the more expensive ones do to the request of things such as toothbrushes and other toiletries. Lots of canned meat, fresh fruit, and so many more things that were on the request list. Thanks to everyone who has enabled us to do good.

    At this point, our car has moved more value in supplies for the refugees than the car is actually worth. And we'll keep doing it. Thousands of our own dollars plus so much more from donations. It's all so greatly appreciated. Next run is tomorrow.

    It's nice to be able to buy bulk (36 per box) Kinder Surprise eggs for a little moment of happiness for the little ones. I think we've purchased more than 300 of 'em. Ever buy 90+lbs of bananas at a time? It's all gone by the time we do the next run.

    This means that canned meat and fish is more valuable than fresh. Fruit that can be eaten raw is better that vegetables that require cooking. Sometimes we add a little variety. Grapes are more expensive than other fruits... but kids love grapes.

    Some runs are mostly groceries, but they publish a list of what they need most urgently. Slippers, track pants, art supplies, toys, toiletries are donated as needed as well. We try to be as well-rounded as possible, but know that food with less preparation is preferred.

    Groceries & supplies that we have been running to the Ukrainian refugee centre here in Varna, Bulgaria. Some supply runs completed with my wife, others with We'll continue these runs as long as we are able & are incredibly grateful for support to make this happen.

    Crystal of Ukraine: Cross-polarized citric acid crystals w/ a blue/yellow light modifier made from disposable shower caps. No mistake the nucleus of the crystal is being invaded by red and blue colours. White was too difficult to add to that part of the frame, but you get it.

    Sunflowers and barbed wire. I took this photo what seems like an age ago – in July 2018 – just outside Andriivka, an evacuated village on the southern edge of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in . For me, this scene says something about resilience, and hope.

    This past week, Don Komarechka () and I have been delivering carloads of food & supplies. It costs on average ~€500 to fill a car with things like bread, milk, instant noodles, salami, nuts, tinned tuna, fresh fruit, bed sheets, shampoo, and children's colouring books.
