    So, people have inevitably started talking about the economic benefit of the monarchy. Because when it's obvious the shine is coming off and people are losing interest, why not revert to talking about money? Here's why that claim about the profitable monarchy is nonsense. 🧵

    Why do they think they should be any burden on the taxpayer? Adelaide Cottage is public property, and their move leaves empty their home in Kensington Palace, which we paid £4.5m to renovate for them.

    It’s not the Queen’s estate. It’s Crown Estate (public) property. The Queen hands out Crown Estate homes as gifts to her family despite not owning them. Perhaps could explain.

    The Cambridges will move to a house on the Queen’s Windsor estate this summer. In time, it is understood they will move into “the big house” as the Prince of Wales does not plan to spend as much time as the Queen at Windsor Castle when he is king

    He remains accused of serious offences and has never cooperated with the FBI. still haven’t explained why they ignored accusations made against him in the UK. He paid a woman he claim never to have met £12m to avoid a court appearance. He wants to be respected.
