"I was in the process of trying to sell my rental property when an inspection flagged a basement wall that was bulging and needing to be repaired. I had great difficulty in trying to find a service provider that could repair it as it was a stone foundation from the late 1800's. I was greatly relieved when Crack Attack was able to do so. I was very pleased with the process for getting an estimate. Mike was prompt and very efficient. The process they were going to use to fix the bulging foundation wall was very thorough and complete and their price was very competitive. Mike was always quick to answer my messages and was extremely professional in dealing with me. I was on the verge of signing a contract with Crack Attack to repair the wall when a buyer offered to buy the property without me having to repair the wall. So because of this, I did not end up having the foundation wall repaired. Based on my experience with Crack Attack I would highly recommend them as they are an extremely capable, honest business.

"Quickly. The crew of 7 arrived early and stayed late to get the project completed within two days. They dug a trench along the exterior walls of the basement, put drain tile in, covered it with 1/2" rock, then filled it with concrete. Along with this, they also installed a new sump pump which was included with the price. The concrete and dirt was taken out to a dumpster they brought and put in our driveway. Cleanup was fairly good, considering what they did. The only issue we had was when they were leaving, we asked if they would come back and put the work benches back in place after the concrete dried. When we got our estimate, the person we spoke with said they would put everything back. I specifically asked if they would put the work benches back (there are 5 work benches), and he said they'd put everything back as it was before. The head of the crew said they would come back the following week after another job and put them back, but when I called to schedule it, I was told it was not part of the agreement, that they didn't usually do that, and they could do it for an additional fee. This was very disappointing because we are seniors (89 and 71) and can't possibly move those work benches ourselves. Other than that, the workmanship and product used were very good and we would use them again.

"We highly recommend US Waterproofing. Unfortunately, after repeated issues (we’ve had water getting through a basement door, water backing up from drain/sewer pipe, foundation cracks – all which were addressed) we now have had issues with hydrostatic water pressure delivering a great deal of water to our finished basement. Only one solution – drain tiles and sump pump installation. US Waterproofing was outstanding, every step of the way. They communicated clearly what was needed, and much to our surprise, what was not. They did not ever try to sell us anything that was not needed – only what was – installation of drain tile, window well drains, sump pump, and all work related. All of the crews involved were outstanding – in particular, the crews installing the drain tile and sump pump. The supervisor clearly and concisely explained every step – and when issues arose, they were dealt with promptly. The teams removing drywall and reinstalling also did very good work, and were very responsive. Everything was done correctly, and on schedule The work is now complete – and the basement is back to normal. I commend USW on all facets – they explained everything, did not try to oversell anything, and were responsive to issues as they arose. After evaluation our foundation, Ken told me there were no cracks in our foundation. Our plumber told me there was a water pipe problem. "Due to excessive groundwater, we had an active leak in our basement. ULB came and gave us a reasonable quote, and was able to do the job during a very busy time of the year. They replaced the old interior drain tile system (which had been done by a previous owner on the cheap), which is a massive job, and even stayed late the first day to make sure they could get all the work done in the two-day time frame they'd given us at the outset. They also installed a new sump pump and backup system which is much quieter than our old one. The system is humming along smoothly now, and the basement is (finally) dry. This is a very dirty job and the crew was able to keep the mess and disturbance to a minimum. The team was friendly and easy to work with, and very patient in explaining all of the work they were doing. They even pointed out some other foundation cracks I hadn't seen, and fixed them while they were there at a heavily discounted price.
