    After considering 4 other companies to redo the siding on my house and install a new front door, I decided to go with A&D Exteriors for several reasons. First, I saw some other homes they completed in the area and they looked great. Second, they did get good reviews on several websites. Third, the person I worked with (Gene) was genuine and not "salesy" at all. He made recommendations and explained everything thoroughly which made me feel I could trust him. The only concern I had before hiring them was the price. They were actually the lowest price quote I received and that always scares me. But I am so glad I made this decision. I signed the agreement (no money upfront) and the materials were ordered in October with the expectation that work would begin in the spring. Gene communicated updates to me throughout the winter and one day he calls and says we have a 5-7 day window of good weather coming up and asked if I wanted to get started in 2 days... they started the work immediately. I got to know Al (the true talent in the company) and talk about a fantastic guy!! He was always very courteous and asked about every little thing to make sure the work was done to my complete satisfaction. The work was completed in about a week with all siding, windows capped, gable vents, posts and garage capped, and a new entry door installed. As my wife and I inspected the work, we really wanted to find something wrong but we couldn't! His miter joints were picture perfect... I've never seen work that perfect before! As he was cleaning up on the final day, I could really tell he cared deeply about his work because he would make the tiniest little adjustments on things to insure 100% perfection. I can't say enough good things about this company, Gene Rathbone and Al. The mock-up pictures they did beforehand compared to the actual pictures are almost identical... even their designer did a fantastic job!! I will use them for any and all work I need in the future

    Wonderful! The work was completed in June of 2021. John Oros came for the initial appraisal. We ended up paying a little less than $11,000 for the job. I cannot say enough good things about John and Berg. Above all he was completely honest and forthright. He actually talked us out of replacing some of our other windows saying that it was a waste of money and that the problem was not the windows, but was actually due to issues in the attic. He could have easily said that these windows needed to be replaced and we would have believed him. I really appreciate his honesty. In terms of the work itself, Berg did a wonderful job. The seams were all perfectly caulked. The windows and door were perfectly aligned, and the casing of the garage door frames was perfect. I would have no hesitation in reaching out to John and Berg for any other home repair/improvement needs. Just a great job overall

Dan did a great job on the carpentry and repainting and also made some clever and cost saving recommendations that will avoid future weather related damage. Overall: an outstanding job done quickly, thoroughly and professionally....5 stars all the way. Notice on the 2 photos below: Dan suggested I go from spruce on the gable to vinyl siding that matched the rest of my house. This substitution looks great and saved me a bundle

    A Transformed House & Garage Exterior by Lloyd & Susan M Before we hired Illinois Energy to replace the siding and door & window trim on our house and garage we had always hired individuals or companies to complete work projects for us who were recommended by someone we knew. Such was not the case with Illinois Energy since we learned about this company via an advertisement, but we are very thankful we chose them. They transformed our house & garage from white 8” siding with shutters to an amazing-looking 6” blue siding with expertly crafted and installed white trim. We appreciated the professionalism, prompt communications and helpfulness exhibited by all the personnel we dealt with from sales, administration and installation. Ruben & Raul’s work crew, which included five other men, was absolutely great. They let us know their plans & schedules, performed their jobs well, sought our input for how we desired things to look along the process and made sure we were satisfied with ALL the work as it was being completed. We have commented to each other that it’s like we have a completely new place to live without even having to move! We would highly recommend Illinois Energy to anyone needing siding & trim work

    We tore down a deck and concrete stairs to install a patio and needed to repair the siding that had been hidden. I needed work done quickly for inspection approval and not hold up the patio. Nick was out the same day to give me a quote and Dane was out the next day to start work. He found some rot behind the siding and we needed to do a bit more extensive repairs than planned. Dane (who was using only one hand due to surgery) was somehow able to do the structural repair and the siding in just 2 days. He did a great job and the new siding looks great with the new patio. I have used Handyman Pros several times and will call them again when I need some work done
