Harrisburg Water Fountain Installation

The finished work is excellent. It really looks good and we are happy with the end result. As we went through the design process, we discussed having several inches of our topsoil removed and replaced with better soil. We also discussed having the buried drip hose replaced. However, when Schultz's lowered the price to meet our budget for this project, they took out the replacement of the drip hose and the topsoil from the project, BUT never informed us. As they were doing the work, we challenged them on both points and it was explained that neither was necessary and that the removal of these two items was how they could lower the price. We may not have used Schultz's for this project had we known these tasks were not in-scope. For the amount of time spent onsite (half-day), the cost of the work is very high. Better communication could have taken place to avoid this situation. In the future, we would ask them to give us a quote (since the quality of their work is high) but we would price shop them and negotiate harder.

Brent understood immediately the "California" look we were after for our mid-century modern rancher patio. We wanted the patio to blend in with the woods and rocks which dominate our backyard, and yet stand out as a unique part of our property. He had a creative design, used quality materials and his team was always very careful, thoughtful and patient. It was no small task laying 2 ft by 4 ft natural stones, placing boulders and custom drilling a rock for the fountain we wanted. The result is everything we imagined, and we couldn't be happier with the whole process. The free-range eggs from Brent and the great music they played while working were just the icing on the cake.

We called Ryan for an estimate for a waterfall feature. He is a young guy starting to develop his business so we thought we would help him out. He was to build a three level waterfall in our back yard. My husband helped the small team of 2 or 3 to move heavy stones and rocks with his tractor. It was only to take a few days and ended up taking a month because he didn't show up when he was supposed to. I paid him in cash 50% up front and the rest prior to completion because he wanted to take his wife to the shore for labor day. He promised to come back and finish which he did. The waterfall was completed and I went and bought the plants to put around the feature. I had a few extra and gave them to him. My husband and I felt we were very generous to him even though we were not overly pleased with his work. We then closed the feature for the winter and when we opened it In the spring the pump didn't want to run. We could Ryan several times and sent multiple emails - he finally responded and said he would stop over. I did not get to run the feature at all last year because he would not come to look at it. I thought perhaps the pump should be under warranty since he charged us big dollars for it. We then finally saw him at a home show in 2012 and he completely ignored my husband and I. I then emailed him multiple more times and he ignored us again. We were able to catch him at the Hanover show and he promised to stop out that week. Well here it is 6 weeks later no call or visit. What really steams me is he has a picture of our water feature on his website and never tried to satisfied us or asked if he could use the pic. This young guy may have some talent but being a good business man is not one of his talents. I would not recommend him for anything. He is untrustworthy and will take your money and run. All he would have to do is correct our issue - we even offered him money to come fix the problem. I may even pursue this further. It is not right to be taken advantage of.

Owner was to call with an estimate for a water feature the week after looking at where the pond was to go. Never called with an estimate. Called him several times and left messages. Still no return phone call.

The water feature they provided us is beautiful. We enjoy it often. Bryan was very helpful with his suggestions but also thoughtfully listen to our ideas and concerns with a strict budget. The entire team was most pleasant and extremely hard working. We highly recommend them.

Dreamscapes Watergardens were very personable. They did a nice job of planning out and installing the water feature which really fit our outside landscape. It's really a nice focal point. We're actually having them maintenance.

We had a excellent relationship working with Doug and his crew. Fernhill had built a large retaining wall for our yard last year. We were more than pleased with the quality and detail in the work. We then decided to hire Fernhill for a complete redo of both our front and back yards. The project included a small retaining wall in the front, a large flagstone patio and fire pit in the back yard, planting and lighting. Doug's attention to our project and his crew's professionalism were constant from start to finish. They were timely and finished the job within the given time frame. They left each day only after cleaning up and leaving the areas they were working on neat, clean and tidy. We gave Doug the freedom to create a design that would make our yards look great and couldn’t be more pleased with his excellent and unique design. We appreciated his eye for detail and the personal touches throughout the project. We would highly recommend hiring this company.

Shawn and his crew did an outstanding job, as we have come to expect from them. Their work is topnotch, and we get many compliments on our landscaping. Shawn is the third landscape professional we have used, and we are most pleased and cannot imagine changing to anyone else. He and his crew work hard, are professional and dependable, and do a terrific job. Shawn's wife, who does a lot of the design work, also has done a beautiful job for us. The water feature, which Shawn built in the summer of 2012, was leaking this summer, and Shawn returned several times this summer to tweak the sloping and the rocks in the feature to stop the leak. Shawn will be doing our next outdoor project, a pergola.

Our lawn was a mass of weeds, which was totally out of control. We contacted Showcase Group to get an estimate on having the lawn completely redone. The representative set up an appointment and came out promptly and gave us an estimate on the time, duration and cost of the project. We also wanted to have a pondless water feature installed. With the weather conditions not favorable in the spring for for reseeding the lawn (too much rain), it was decided that we wait until fall to plant the grass, but got the water feature installed right away. This worked out perfectly, as we did not have to worry about watering the grass during the heat of the summer. When the installers came to install the water feature, they arrived early, worked steadily throughout the day, and cleaned up very nicely when everything was done. It was as if they just came and PLACED the feature in our back yard! VERY PROFESSIONAL! We are very pleased with the service that we received from the SHOWCASE GROUP, and would highly recommend them to anyone that is considering this type of service. It was nice that they were flexible with the time line because of the weather conditions, and I appreciated the personal contact on a regular basis when there were changes needed because of the weather. We also liked the fact that all the cost are laid out up front, so there were no surprises. We are continuing with their service to maintain our lawn so as to keep it looking nice. My only regret is that we did not take any before pictures, because no one can believe how awful our yard looked compared to what it looks like now.

We met Shawn and his wife at the Harrisburg Garden Expo in 2010. After talking with them and other landscapes, we decided to delay our project to 2011. Early in 2011 we contacted Shawn and proceeded to meet with him and his wife to update and refine the plan they had made in 2010 for our patio. They are knowledgeable and creative and spent quite a few hours with us to develop the plan and pick out the stone. Shawn and his crew started work when they said they would. They always kept us informed of their progress and their schedule. They worked hard and were pleasant to deal with. We love our patio. We are using Shawn again for both our regular landscaping needs and to add a water feature to the patio.
