  Will was amazingly honest. He explained what the potential for mold damage could be; he explained full and partial remediation possibilities. In the end he also said his visual inspection didn't really warrant remediation unless we wanted to be especially sure - say if someone had respiratory issues. He told me what to do with 2-3 very small spots that could be handled by us (in conformity with the EPA website). So we opted to do the self-treatment plan; he charged nothing.   Inspector was there before me and in the home. Welcomed me in and went over how the process worked and what I was going to receive after the inspection. He provided me with paper, tape measure and a pen so I could take measurements and write down any questions or anything I needed. At the end of the inspection he went over the entire report and walked through rooms showing me what needed fixed and what was suggested. He was honest, clear and even provided money saving tips from past experience. Extremely professional and he even took the time to show me how different things worked in the home (like fireplace and showers etc..) I would absolutely recommend.   My vacation home is a 2.5-hour drive from my primary home. The foundation at the back of the vacation home was beginning to settle and a couple of cinder blocks had shifted. I took a day off to meet with Mike, who recommended that I have his crew install carbon fiber strips to stabilize the wall and prevent any more blocks from shifting. I inquired about having the crawl space encapsulated also to reduce moisture problems, eliminate a musty odor in the house, and to improve temperature regulation. The cost was quite reasonable and the entire project was completed in two days while I was back home. Despite not being on site, I was kept informed of their progress each day. When I returned a few days later, the work areas were tidy, the external foundation showed no signs of stress, and the interior walls and floor of the crawl space were lined with a thick vapor barrier. Basements.com had done an awesome job, at an affordable price, in a short amount of time, and with no disruption to my own work schedule.   They said they would be here at 7am and they were here at 6:45am. Crew of 9 started right away with no wasted motion. I've never seen anything like it. The guys worked their buts off. Ripped off old roof, replaced 7 sheets of roof sheathing that were bad, replaced my 6 skylights, installed 35 square of shingles and flashed with copper flashing. It was expected to rain that night so they worked until after 8pm - completed the entire job in one day! All while covering our walkways and flower beds with plywood and canvas. It was incredible to watch. They were like ants - each worker knowing exactly what his role was and performing it quickly and expertly. I've been selling building materials for 40 years, I've been around jobsites my whole life and I've never seen anything like it. We've had some hard rains and the roof performs and looks fantastic.   Low Bid. Good communicator, quick response, knowledgeable, conscientious, pleasant, energetic, good workmanship (e.g. wiring clamps, etc). I was a bit nervous because he bid sight unseen, based on my description of the existing system. But, that saved an 80 mile trip that did not have to be added to the cost. However his contract was very professional with guarantees, and he had good Angie's reviews, so I went with him. (He even sent specs on the fan he would use). He did extras at a very reasonable price (dig out of my Builder's improperly installed basement pipe, caulking around sump, and re-leveling attic piping for proper downward pitch. He alerted me to leakage in my attic around the previously installed boot (I'll take care of that later). Result was that radon level was reduced from 11.0 to 0.6 (4.0 is max safe level). Note: price includes $50.00 Pa Radon tax
