We have hired Shawn for multiple projects around our home- and we liked his work, so it was a no-brainer to hire him for our addition. As time went on, and his money management had him not being able to pay subcontractors, we noticed the quality of the work was horrible. Now we just settled with over $30,000 in damages from his insurance company, and looks like another $10,000 plus for the shower that leaked through to the floor below. Biggest complaint- he vanished. In October of 2020, after multiple letters and begin to get him to correct craftsmanship, and after having to pay the trades balances, he went silent. He then claimed WE owed him money. It is now 6 months later, and we were preparing to sell. The repairs and money we had to put out to finish his work is too much. The new owners will have an amazing house because we had to pay for the repairs. To boot, he called in an inspection March of 2021, so the permit on the house was extended another 180 days. We only found out by calling Regional. We now have to take over the permit and try and pass ourselves. If you hire him, know you are supporting a man that took our trust, and hurt our family. Just because he was good to you (he was good to us too) does not mean he has no problem walking away when he is held accountable. Shame on you Shawn.

This is an update to the a deck replacement completed for me in 2018. While I was cleaning my deck I notice that one of the metal railings had come loose. I texted Shaun at Smart's and told him about it. He responded immediately and said he would stopped by to check it out. He did and fixed it without a word to me and no charge. WOW, such customer service. Excellent company with high standards... Highly recommended to do business with and with reasonable prices.

Shaun remodeled my master bathroom. He did a great job! I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them again for another project.

Shaun replaced an exterior door and installed a storm door. He also replaced some bad siding in the same area. Shaun did a great job at a very fair price.

We made several changes and he welcomed our changes. He was very friendly. He also did an outstanding job. He did all the changes that we asked for. I would highly recommend Smarts Construction to any one wanting to do any remodel work on their home.

Shaun installed a security door for front entry. He had to make adjustments to fit properly and when completed was perfect fit, I will use his services again

Shaun remodeled my garage to office and formal dining room. Superior work and always friendly to work with. Highly detailed and great work ethic. Will certainly keep in mind for upcoming home projects.

I had specified one hand rail on the steps, so that was the way it was written on the contract. The wife decided that we should have hand rails on both sides. Called Shaun that we wanted add the additional hand rail. He came by this morning and added the hand rail. I was prepared to pay for this additional cost, but he said Robbin Smart wanted to do this at no additional cost. Lee Matoush
