Manage My Profile
Your profile is the information you’d like to be shown along with your name when you comment on WordPress.com sites.
You can update your profile by visiting your Profile Settings page or clicking on your Gravatar in the upper-right corner.
Note: All information included on your profile will be active for all blogs owned by your account. This information is publicly accessible by anyone on the internet, so you should only enter information that are you are comfortable sharing with everyone (regardless of whether your blog is set to private or not).
My Profile
- First name: your first name (optional).
- Last name: your last name (optional).
- Public Display Name: this is how you would like your name to display publicly. Your WordPress.com username is shown by default, but you might prefer your first name or a nickname instead.
- About Me: A brief bio or other information you’d like to display on your profile (optional).
Profile Photo
Your Profile Photo will display with your comments, likes, and other activity on WordPress.com sites, or any site using Gravatar.
You can update your Profile Photo by visiting your Profile Settings, moving your mouse over your current Profile Photo, and clicking Update Profile Photo.
Profile Links
Profile Links allow you to manage what sites appear on your WordPress.com profile. To manage your existing Profile Links or add a new one visit your Profile Settings.
In the Profile Links section, choose the option you’d like to use to add a site:
If you selected “Add a WordPress Site,” check the sites you’d like to include then click Add Sites:
If you selected “Add Other Site,” enter the site’s URL and description then click Add Site:
To remove a Profile Link, simply click the X to the right of the site you’d like to remove:
How My Profile Displays
Now that you’ve set up your profile, try leaving a comment or liking a post! You’ll see that your Profile Photo (Gravatar) appears next to your Public Display Name.
When you hover your cursor over your Gravatar, you’ll see a hovercard with your profile information:
Click on that, and you’ll be taken to your complete Profile:
