He proactively left the part number of the system that might need replacing in the future. In addition Mike clearly explained what he was doing and answered our many questions. A plus was E and M’s policy of charging by the hour with no upfront fee just for coming to the house.

Recent Review: 9/21/20 : Last night, we lost all heating, cooling and ventilation in our Trane Heat Pump. I called Royal this morning to schedule a service call and spoke with Kate, who listened closely to my observations and suggested, "Try powering down the TAM7 and Condenser, wait 15 seconds, then power up. Bingo! Our heating and cooling came back to life! (Either the TAM7 or the Honeywell Smart Thermostat needed a reboot) Wow - Kudos to Kate for helping us solve the problem - that's "world class" customer service! Once again, Royal Air has exceeded our expectation and continues to prove they are "the best of Boston". 6/5/20 : Our Trane TAM7 AHU power supply burned out and Royal Air provided superb customer service! Megan was wonderful with "squeezing in" a initial service call, ordering the replacement part and scheduling the follow up visit. Nick was great at troubleshooting and resolving the problem. Their whole team continues to exceed my expectations. Congratulations Royal Air for outstanding customer service and value!

Recent Review: About a week ago, I had a heat emergency. At first, I didn’t know what to do. I reached out to contractors on Angi (among other places). All of them were super busy. Luckily, I mostly figured out how to resolve my heating emergency myself. However, I still needed maintenance. Ryan from pro comfort control reached out to say that had some unexpected space in his schedule. We discussed options for what I might need or want. I chose 2/3 of the options. He said he’d call me the next day. I said I was flexible since I work from home. Next morning he texts and says how about now? 45 minutes later he and his colleague arrive (with all COVID boosters and masks), and we discover that some work (boiler skimming) can’t be performed w/o an extra valve which would cost a slight bit more (I completely understood). ~2 hours later, the work was completed. He explained everything before and afterwords in great detail. He said that although my boiler was ~20 years old, it should last for another 10-15 years as long as I performed regular maintenance and cleaning (skimming). He said I should consider heat pumps and a/c splits, and that with an inspection from mass save it would be cheap and last a long time. I look forward to having him come back!

Recent Review: We installed heat pumps in our upstairs rental apartment. It had been electric baseboard heating, very expensive to operate. New England Ductless came out and advised us on what units we should get, a large one in the living room and smaller ones in each bedroom. The installation went great. The installers Carlos and Alvardo were very professional and polite. But the back office was very accommodating as well. Originally they told us they could work in March, but as this would miss most of the winter, we asked if they could move it up and they gave us a date three weeks later in January. They also helped us file for a MassSave Heat Loan right away. The loan part was so closely timed that I got the bank check the same day that installation started. I told them I got the check and asked them if they could not cash the personal check I gave them for the deposit, but to pick up this check the next day and they obliged. It really felt like we were on the same team. The tenants are very pleased with the heat pumps. They say the apartment is warmer than it's ever been.
