    I have a case where debugging AND deploying in prod is expected: Trauma Surgeons are a lot like software engineering: they debug in prod, and deploy in prod. And without tests. Unit tests are impossible, you can get a integration one.

    The first thing I learned about #democracy is that "My right finishes when yours begin". Living in society is about thinking about others. I seriously can't fathom with the "excuse" of religious freedom as a license to kill. YES, your selfishness KILLS! If you drink and drive you assume the risk of killing others, vaccination is the same principle. Stop making about politics and just take the fucking shot 💉 and mask 😷. "My body, my choice". Yeah, except for pro-choice movement, right? The fucking hypocrisy is not lost on me. But as self-centered people can be, they don't see this. "God wanted you to get pregnant, you can't abort". Yeah, how about "God" wanted your dick to be flaccid and having erectile disfunction? I guess that is thrown out of the window when you have #viagra and #cialis available, right?     You keep using the word "debate" and I'd wager that's part of the problem. It sounds like you've created a culture of debate vs a culture of communication.

    There's a big difference between speaking to convince someone you're right/ they're wrong and speaking to share your lived experience. There's a big difference between listening to respond and listening to understand. There's a big difference between "debate" and "discussion."

    Tying healthcare to employment is one of the most hostile things to entrepreneurship you can do. If you ostensibly care about supporting small business, you should care about universal healthcare.

    So I needed to write a conversion script to rewrite all the URLs in every post. QA beta site, and appears everything is working. That was 4 hours wasted. And why? None of the code I'm working with ever sees production. I statically generate into an S3 bucket. sigh...

    The new version of Node isn't compatible with the site generator I use (Hexo). So upgrade Hexo. Upgraded Hexo doesn't work with 80% of plugins I used. Figure out how to get plugins working. New Hexo version changed how it treats permalinks (no docs).

    Wanted to write a blog post this morning. Took about an hour to write the post, and then about 4 hours to get my blog generator working again. First, CircleCI's Jesse image is broken (APT key expiry). Then Stretch includes a new version of Node.JS.

    Move faster. Slowness anywhere justifies slowness everywhere. 2021 instead of 2022. This week instead of next week. Today instead of tomorrow. Moving fast compounds so much more than people realize.
