    This is so dumb. And it’s all theater. When I was in boot camp I was given just about every vaccine you can think of. Before deploying I was vaccinated against anthrax. I only missed the small pox vaccine because of a medical exemption. Vaccines in the military are status quo.

    I’ve been contacted by members of our voluntary military who say they will quit if the COVID vaccine is mandated. I introduced HR 3860 to prohibit any mandatory requirement that a member of the Armed Forces receive a vaccination against COVID-19. It now has 24 sponsors.

    The stigma around marijuana usage has to end. It's absolutely wild to me that we live in a world where drinking to excess is tolerated, and even celebrated. But smoking a joint is a disqualifier for competition, employment, social acceptance, and even freedom.

    I've watched a lot of wildfire-associated pyroconvective events during the satellite era, and I think this might be the singularly most extreme I've ever seen. This is a literal firestorm, producing *thousands* of lightning strikes and almost certainly countless new fires.

    Absolutely mind-blowing wildfire behavior in British Columbia. Incredible & massive storm-producing pyrocumulonimbus plumes.

    Physical menus. Often when I go out to eat I prefer to leave my phone behind or out-of-sight. I understand why online menus were leveraged during the height of the pandemic. But I’m ready for the return of analog menus.

    Let's settle this once and for all Which do you prefer, QR codes or physical menus?

    Three car accident at the bottom of our road. In 106 degree weather. We tried to help out. Mainly by letting a young disabled boy who was in one of the cars sit in our air conditioned car. Luckily everyone survived. One woman taken to the hospital. Could’ve been much worse.
