Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) at CUNY:

The City University of New York is the nation’s largest urban public university, comprising 25 institutions. The City University Construction Fund (“CUCF”) is a public benefit corporation established by New York State to provide facilities for CUNY and support the educational purposes of CUNY. Read more.

New York State Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE)

CUCF’s MWBE contracting and partnering opportunities at all tiers (prime contracting, sub-contracting, sub-sub-contracting and suppliers) are or will be available through contracts for specific projects and through task order requirements contracts for multiple projects in the following principal areas: architectural design services, engineering design services, master planning services, construction management/build services, general contracting, trades contracting, and property development services.

CUCF is governed by New York State Executive Law Article 15-A. Accordingly, CUCF will only credit participation from New York State ESD Certified MWBE firms. MWBE certifications from other government programs such as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and New York City will not be accepted.

New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOB)

CUCF’s SDVOB contracting and partnering opportunities at all tiers (prime contracting, sub-contracting, sub-subcontracting and suppliers) will be available through contracts for specific projects and through task order requirements contracts for multiple projects in the following principal areas: architectural design services, engineering design services, master planning services, construction management/build services, general contracting, trades contracting, and property development services.

CUCF is governed by New York State Executive Law Article 17-B. Accordingly, CUCF will only credit participation from New York State OGS Certified SDVOB firms. SDVOB certifications from other government programs such as the United States Small Business Administration will not be accepted.
