Austin Popcorn Ceiling Removal

Sal repaired numerous holes in our kitchen ceiling and removed popcorn ceiling. After those repairs he touched up the paint on the ceiling. He matched the ceiling texture and did a perfect job.

Very well - Steve did a very good job of both performing the work and supervising other contractors when we needed to get a house ready for sale. It was significant work including removing popcorn ceilings, renovating a bathroom, installing flooring, refinishing a large deck, and replacing the roof. The house sold quickly and for more than it was listed. Steve has also done general work at our primary residence multiple times, including repairing floors and walls after water damage.

When Mark did the work it was excellent, there was sometimes a helper but when Mark was not there he seemed to move much more slowly and there were some mistakes in the kitchen, drops on the new wood floor and some missed painting, but I was in a rush at the end and needed to move in. The tile work in the bathroom was done by Mark and it was amazing. Highly recommend him for this, he is also a master painter but his helper did all the painting and would give it a B+ the mistakes were small and I was able to correct once I moved in. He also worked around a wood floor I was having installed at the same time and while difficult he was able to work around this.

Rephael is honest, hard-working and pays attention to detail. He gave us a detailed estimate and negotiated with our insurance company to pay our claim even after they denied us. He never cut any corners and really exceeded all of our expectations. We are hiring him again to finish a bathroom remodel and will continue to hire him as our handyman in the future.

Very well. The handyman ended up spending several more hours than anticipated because of the damage to garage ceiling but he was very pleasant about it, explained what he was doing, was thorough and careful and did an excellent job.

It went very well from start to finish. They were on-time, under budget (a little) and did an excellent job of keeping the mess down. One of the hardest pieces of work was matching the popcorn ceiling in a large room. They did this flawlessly. You cannot tell the original from the replacement a year later.

Sal did an excellent job on this. The job involves remove and replacing the damaged Sheetrock, then sanding, texture, paint touch up the renewed ceiling. pay attention to detail.

MR. HANDYMAN ROCKS!! We recently bought a home that needs a lot of renovation. We are not good at this sort of thing, so joined Angies List and decided to give Mr. Handyman a try. We emailed them and received a quick response from the owner Brian. Before the end of the day we were contacted by the office manager Tamie, and had someone scheduled to come to the house and check out the scope of work. Wally came to our home a few days later. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to go from room to room, making notes, taking measurements and offering ideas. Even though Wally came to our home on a Friday afternoon, by the following Monday afternoon, we had the estimates. We would like to add that we did also get estimates from a few other vendors to have a comparison. Mr. Handyman not only had the best pricing, but they are also a one stop shop. Dealing with one company instead of several is the way to go! After receiving the estimates, we realized that we could not afford to do everything right away. However, the estimates were broken down by project. This was extremely helpful for us to decide how to best move forward. Brian worked with us to schedule the work chosen, which was started a couple of days later. Everyone on his crew that was involved, were professional, showed up on time and displayed superb work ethics. Although we did have a few unforeseen problems come up (what renovation project doesn?t?), and also added some painting to the scope of work, the work was still completed in the timeframe that was given. Thank you, Brian, Tamie, Wally, Larry, Kyle, Alejandro, and your co-workers. The results of your gifted skills have made our home better than what we had hoped for. As we save for the next renovation project, it is comforting to know, that just like having a great mechanic, the right hair stylist, etc., when work needs to be done on our home, we will know who to call.

I contacted Ralph from Instant Repair Service for a drywall job in my garage. They were booked out for a few weeks, but when another job was delayed, he got back to me and was able to start right away. The job involved adding insulation, hanging, taping, mudding, and texturing new drywall in my garage. Also scraping the popcorn off the ceiling, and retaping, mudding, and texturing that. The crew did a very good job, were very good at communicating any issues they came across. The job took longer than expected due to high humidity (took a long time for the mud to try). Again, they communicated the schedule clearly with me, and were a pleasure to work with. I added a few things to the scope of work as the job went along, and Ralph was very good at estimating the cost adders and not going over. Excellent work, and I would definitely use them again.
