VERY DISAPPOINTED, NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR. I asked for the grade of the driveway to drain down to the road. and to cut the curb. he said he could do it all. Asked several times for contractor to get permit, because he was cutting the curb this needed to be done by him and documented at the city planning office, permit was not purchase by contractor until city came out and was going to put a stop work order on the site. The project was being done in two stages. After the first pour (stage) the water was running back towards the garage and into the garage which is what he told us he would eliminate by cutting back some of the original floor of the garage that meet up with the old driveway, he told us he would have it run down the driveway. this section was graded it with a high spot in the middle of it, he said it meets his spec. but this is not what he told us would be done. Told my wife the water would run different when it cured. lol. On second stage the house step height changed by 1 inch. Went from a 6 inch step to a 5 inch, raising the concrete height by one inch. He said this was because we widened the driveway and to keep the side way slope he said he had to raise the concrete and instead of taking out more of the dirt to keep the slpoe. This also affected my basement window. I had 1 and a half inch gap under my basement window were the old concrete was at. I installed this window many years ago. Now concrete it is higher and he cemented my basement window trim in so I can not paint it or get it off without breaking it. Let alone the rotting of it from being in constant contact with the cement. This is a bad practice. I know or hope he would not do this at his own home. Other problems we have are: dry streaks from the worn out broom, Low spots from the sleds they kneel on. he was stuck in drive way for 2 and a half hours because he refused to remove the wet clay, damage my vinyl siding, the chain link fence next door. Job was to take 1 week it took 3 weeks, left the job site for a week after being stuck, this was after starting a week late. He told me every thing is to his specs. and he is not fixing any thing. It was one lie after other. After putting half down I felted trapped into this job. he even told my wife he would put a lean on the house if we did not pay him the rest of his money. So many things went wrong to mention. As soon things were not acceptable to the customer he was back peddling with what he told us he would do and how the project would end up like. I would never recommend him and would not have him work on any other projects of ours. WOW WAS I VERY DISAPOINTED!!!!!! WE PAIDED HIM IN GOOD FAITH TO BAD WE DID NOT GET THE CUSTOMER SATIFICATION THAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR.
