Victor did an excellent job - pressure washing from the gutters down and was thorough in completely cleaning away spider webs and dirt/dust from the exterior of my house. He went over each area thoroughly - twice. The exterior window washing was then completed. He did a wonderful job and I would be glad to have him return again. For me, he is an example of what a handyman should be -- superb quality of work, reliability and responsiveness, honesty and transparency, great communication, but most of all something that I have hardly ever seen before, especially in this industry -- an honor and sense of ownership in everything he does. I was truly impressed. You can *trust* Yale. If he says he can do something, he can -- and he will do that even better. If you ever need a handyman, your search is over.

Bob and his guys did high quality work for us at a very fair price. The guys who did the prep and painting work were very detail oriented, punctual, and hardworking, and we really appreciated that Bob checked their work carefully and made sure that the job was finished in good order. We will definitely use them again for painting work, and I would be comfortable trying them out for other carpentry jobs. Bob was very busy and didn't do much in the way of up-front organization, but he came through 100%.

I have hired him many times for odds and ends around the house. The last time I hired him, he remodeled a doorway becuase my new washing machine wouldn't fit in the closet. He adjusted it to where my washer and dryer now fit in the closet. He has provided painting services, pressure washing, lock changing, and picture hanging. He is a very good guy. I highly recommend his services.

We called Val Carroll based on his excellent reviews on Angies list. And it turned out very well. Val Carroll came out the same day I called. He gave us a bid the next day and came to do the work 2 days later with 3 other workers. They set out quietly to do the work . All four were skilled and efficient. In less than 4 hours the work was completely finished, satisfactory in every way. We plan to have several projects done by Val Carroll in the near future, including pressure washing decks and lining and terracing a garden path.

I had Mr. Handyman here for ten and a half hours. He worked simultaneously on several projects without problem. He worked hard and efficiently all day and was pleasant to have in the house. I was happy to get so much done in one day and not have to take more time off work.

Working with Mr. Carroll has been a great experience. He is very flexible and responsive. We had a fence and gate area that required demolition and rebuilding. I called Mr. Carroll one morning and he said he would be out that afternoon which he was. After looking at the gate and fence, he gave us an estimate of the job which included adding headers to another existing fence perpendicular to the the gate and fence he was rebuilding. He gave us an estimate of $1000 which included materials. In the middle of the project, I asked him to change the design which meant he had to buy different materials and rework the gate he was building. He was very open to my ideas and very helpful during the whole process. After completing the project, he sealed the new fence and gate as well as another fence. The additional cost for the original project was $200. He also pressure washed and sealed a large deck, removed a 12' multi-stemmed yucca plant and cleared away all of our green trash for $400.

I called about 2 weeks ago to make an appointment. They never ended up showing up for the first appointment and had to re-schedule. He came about a week later, and was late for the appoitnment, but I showed him the areas I wanted to have work done. He was going to come up with an estiamte and call me back however he never did give me a call. I tried to call him back the following week and I still have not heard back.

Dan quickly replied to my voice message and I was able to schedule him to come see the work/make a bid right away. He agreed to tackle all the work, quoted his hourly rate, and began work that week. The work took a few days. Dan always arrived as scheduled and was always pleasant and professional. Supplies I did not already have, he purchased for me which was a big help as I am lost when trying to decide what product to purchase for house repairs/maintenance. His work is meticulous and, in my instance, he left my property in so much better condition than when he arrived! I'm scheduling him to tackle the damaged outside woodwork in my unit next month.

Steve Farris is very good about doing thrifty work. He is very open with things like, “if you do this way you will save money” and I really appreciate that. He and his son Jeremy are both good and both know what they are doing. They both come through as they say they will. You can get Steve Farris to sit down with you and give a little lecture on his religious belief and stuff but that is not bad. He is chatty and they are both good. They know what they are doing and one of the most people I trust for doing things in an inexpensive way and finding way to cut cost that will work. He did a beautiful job on laying flooring. I don’t get the feeling that they are used to doing expensive work but they are very good for repairs and making something last a bit longer and that is worthwhile. We both were really pleased with the work. They are very good on price. Steve is a little bit talkative and that’s my only complaint and that’s the worst thing I have to say but that’s not bad.

I am really pleased with the service I received from Mr. G (Bob). Bob and his assistant Mike helped us with a variety of projects in our new house. Bob is easily accessible and is very prompt. He is very prompt - always arrived on time or early to the house to start work. Bob is the perfect handyman - he has the knowledge and experience in a variety of areas (see above for the list of services performed). Bob is honest, reasonable and very trustworthy. Bob and Mike does great work - they make sure that they do the job right. WIth Bob, you don't have to worry any thing - he will take care of getting the right materials and parts. Bob has the tools and accessories for any job, so you can be assured that the work gets done the right way. We really appreciated Bob's diligence, honesty, and quality. Bob charges much less than I would have paid for a professional contracting business to do the same work. He provides a detailed cost estimate for each and every item and does not ask you for any upfront payments or advances. He collects payment only after the work has been completed. Seriously you couldn't ask for a better handyman. We will definitely use Bob's services going forward and would highly recommend him to others.

It went very well; a two-day job. Joe was extremely punctual and got right to work. His boss also came by early the first day to drop off the new siding, and I think he added some good direction by having Joe do the pressure washing first, so that the washed area could be drying while he worked on replacing the siding. That was good, common sense thinking. Joe made a very good effort to save the trim pieces for reuse, where possible, which saved me money. He asked my opinion on things related to the work; what homeowner doesn't love that? He was also very good about securing the work area and cleaning up all debris at the end of each day, and brought his own trash can. Our contract agreement was that I would prime & paint the new siding, so he did not do that part. He also did a fine job of washing and painting the attic wall, which took almost a gallon. I was pleased with his work on that. The only thing I should have done differently, was to contract for three or four coats rather than two. After it dried, I could see that it needs another coat. But he did a good job on what he was asked to do. And, none of my roof tiles were broken; I climbed up there & looked. So I'm very happy about that. Prior to accepting the estimate, I'd asked for a rewording of something to clarify the scope of work, which they did. Another thing I really like about Xtra Hand is that they don't expect payment until about two weeks after the job is done, so you have time to look things over and call them if something isn't right. I've never seen that before; what a great policy! And, when the bill came, it was $40 less than the estimate; very welcome news. I didn't know about the Angies List discount until after we'd settled on the price, and didn't mention Angie til after the fact. So I'm guessing maybe they gave me the discount anyway; very upstanding. I will definately call them regarding future work. They're very easy to work with, and very professional.

Over the past several years, we had accumulated a pretty healthy list of things we wanted to fix, but that I never found time to fix or didn't know where to start. So I finally turned to Angie's List and found Tim Jackson there. I saw all of Tim's great reviews so I sent him an email asking for a quote. He was on vacation at the time and yet he replied promptly to let me know when he would be back so we could schedule an estimate. During the estimate/review, he was very thorough in taking notes on all of the projects we wanted to do. While he was doing work for us, he was very good at communicating with us (my wife and I were both at work). He is very good at asking the right questions and making sure he knows what you want. What I also appreciated is that when Tim wasn't the right person for a particular job (e.g. electrical work), he would bring in someone he knew to do the work or let me know who to contact to make it happen. For the issues that required an electrician, he lined up the electrician himself and a very good one at that. Overall, Tim was awesome! My wife and I both liked him a lot and our kids really liked him too! Given past experience, I would have expected all that work to take more than a week. Tim and his team got it done in 1.5 days! So they work quickly and do a very thorough, high-quality job. It was such a relief to finally get all of these things fixed and gave us a feeling like we had upgraded our house! I will definitely use Tim again in the future and highly recommend him! In fact, I already have a new list of items I need Tim to come fix!

All the work went well. The faucet replacement took them a little longer then they thought it would, but it turned out nice. Carlos and Valente are responsible, reliable, and hard-working.
