I read good things about Arthur on Angie's List and am pleased to say they were all true. Arthur was great. He had a difficult job due to some customized parts I had. Where other plumbers would have said the whole sink vanity would need to be replaced, Arthur visited a number of plumbing supply houses and found the parts to get the job done. The issue was a blockage in our sewer line. We use Moe for all of our plumbing, and they sent their awesome sewer specialist, Eric, to check it out. He said roots had grown into the pipe, and brought in a hydrojet to open it. The root system was a monster. Ultimately, it took a full day and a 7,000 PSI machine, to open a hole in the root ball and get water flowing. In order to repair it permanently, the connection that failed would have to be dug-up and replaced. Later, the original lining contractor did that work under warranty. When they removed the section that was blocked, we saw that the root ball was almost 1’ think! Eric did a great job breaking through it, and getting the pipe to drain!

Enrique the plumber charged me $375.00 for replacement of my sink strainer basket. Then he charged me $950.00 for the install of a earthquake gas valve at my residence. For the 2nd home I have he charged me $550.00 for the gas earthquake shutoff valve. Total came to $1830.00 once the valve was installed Enrique failed to make sure all my gas appliances where on with gas. I had no hot water for a day til he returned. I’m 96 years old and I believe that Sal’s plumbing over charged me big time. I called and spoke with Wendy she double checked and said the earthquake valve was a$950.00 charge and they gave me a break o. The 2nd valve by charging $550.00. She stated $375 for the sink strainer was “what they charged” she refused to give me a refund and she refused for me to speak with the owner. BUYER BE AWARE!

Ford's Plumbing and HeatingMoving into a new but rather badly maintained house we discovered serious problems with old, clogged and leaky waste water lines in the crawl space with no cleanouts available to get into them. The guys from Ford's plumbing replaced the lines and installed a new cleanout for future service for a fair price. The quality of their work was impeccable. Towards the end of that project we discovered a massive gas leak and asked them to tackle that job as well. This lead to the fixing of about a dozen additional minor leaks along the ageing lines as well as the re-routing of of some lines using nothing but existing parts to save on costs through what I can only describe as more artistry than craft. It was amazing to watch them put that complex piping back together. For any future plumbing needs these guys will certainly be at the top of our list.- Kolja E.

Ford's Plumbing and HeatingThe work was was done impeccably. Martin, Israel and Riley we the best contractors I've ever dealt with and as a former interior designer, I have worked many. For over a decade we had a foul odor emanating from our bathroom shower and we were told it was because we live so close to the Tar Pits. Thanks to Riley we learned that it was not the case, rather it was because of faulty plumbing. Martin and Isreal are masters at the trade and you would never know that they were there. Supreme Remodeling IncI worked with Supreme Remodeling last year to rebuild house for me in Burbank last year. It was a long and arduous project that involved demolishing 50% of an old house down to the studs and then building an attached addition from the ground up. I sent out my completed architectural plans to at least 15 different companies, and took interviews with many of them. Received bids from maybe 5-6 different ones. Here's what the difference was. First of all, Micky the owner of Supreme remodeling took the initial meeting himself. He was in no way pushy or salesy in any way. He was patient (it took a month for me to come to a decision). I was able to look at ACTIVE construction projects that he had going on. He was extremely knowledgeable on all of the new building trends and he has a good eye for design. Once I signed on, it took about 9-10 months to complete. He has a good roster of subcontractors that he works with. But his inside guys Eddie and Ronell are outstanding. In the end the real difference that sets Supreme apart has to be the service. Micky and his staff are very available and responsive. Even on a Sunday night he's active and communicating the following weeks work. If there's an issue he's on top of it. And even though the initial cost of the project was high, you definitely get what you pay for and to be honest, it is a very common experience to have contractors to offer you a lower price just to rope you into a situation where they constantly barrage you with extra charges during the project because they weren't "in the contract". All in all I would definitively work with Micky and supreme again in the future on any projects that I have coming up.- Frank C.

Construction MastersMoshe, Mickey and the guys at Construction Masters did a stellar job on our huge home remodel. We added a second story to our small 2-1 craftsman bungalow in Westwood, nearly doubling it in size. We also moved a kitchen and living room wall and completely gutted our very old kitchen. We basically rebuilt the entire home, while doing out best retain and restore the character of our older home. We had tried to start this process over a few years, running into snags and unethical contractors along the way, and are so happy that we landed in the capable hands of this team. At every step along the way, we felt honestly communicated with and cared for on a personal level. They were top notch as well as courteous and considerate of our neighbors. Not only did they do a remarkable job and make our house the talk of the neighborhood, they went above and beyond to really be sure we were always 100% happy with all of the work being done. Even with the pandemic hitting right in the middle of our project, they managed to finish within our original timeline as promised.
