The existing deck was in front of the plumbing of an existing sprinkler system. The owner and the workmen were warned about the location of the sprinkler plumbing. When the deck was built it extended back more than the original, and when installing a post one of the pipes was nicked, so it leaked copiously. This was not found until a while later because another leak had to be repaired first before trying the system. I contacted them about paying for the repairs and they said they would do it. Weeks have passed and they have not sent a check. They are also not answering my phone calls. The deck looks very nice, and they did extra work resetting some heaved pavers around the deck, but they should have been more careful about the plumbing.

I could not be happier with my new backyard! This was my third backyard by Fresh Start but my first experience with Jeff and Rita. They designed a complete backyard for my home that was built a little over a year ago. In addition to the landscaping they extended my existing porch with pavers, built a fire pit with surrounding bench, and installed a custom water feature. They were able to figure out exactly what I wanted with just their initial consultation. I only made two minor changes to their original design. The plants gave me an array of leaf color and shape and were beyond my expectations. Their crew was punctual, efficient, and incredibly talented. It’s easy to see why Fresh Start has been in business for so long.

Prior to Zodega, my irrigation company was Taylor Irrigation Service, with which I was very happy. Zodega bought out Taylor and I began to do business with them. Zodega is unresponsive and unprofessional. I had work done a month ago by Zodega and was having issues. I called three times on a Thursday and two times on Friday. No one ever responded. They have an answering service and customers are not allowed to speak to any employee directly. When finally I called on Friday evening, the answering service stated no one would contact me till Monday. I was told the Zodega has bought out several companies. Apparently they are growing but their customer satisfaction and service is going out the window. Plan to change companies immediately for my future services.

Texas Outdoor ProjectsAaron and Abraham built my outdoor kitchen a few years ago but recently my trash drawer broke. Aaron came out with the intention of replacing the trash drawer for over $500 but he was able to fix the old one instead and saved me $350 by doing so. I greatly appreciated Aaron for repairing the door that I had rather than installing a new one.
