My original review in 5/2021 I chose to go with Anthony & Sylvan pools because they have a long history and I knew people that had very old pools built by them. I wanted a name I could trust and I like Rick theirs salesman and he emphasized that history and their great warranty. They designed and built a great pool with only a hiccup here or there and we absolutely love our pool. The problems began pretty quickly when the concrete decking began cracking within weeks, and the manual fill line never worked. I called my project manager Randy and he promised me the fill line would get taken care of and he had his boss Joe come out who promised me the concrete would get taken care of. Shortly after than the plaster and some coping began cracking as the pool shifted. I had them back out to look at it and they did a leak test, told me it wasn't leaking and they'd fix the plaster and coping. Well the cracks kept coming and in under 2 years we have 7 medium to large cracks. The company has not fixed the cracking of the decking, the manual fill line that has never worked or been repaired, and not a single crack has been repaired in the plaster. To their credit, we had a leaky pipe come up in the middle of all this and they fixed that. Since that repair they have not followed through on a single thing they promised to fix. On top of that the communication is terrible. The only way to get a hold of John who is the warranty manager is by email, and he never answers back. So, I love my pool! I love how it looks. The initial product seemed great. If you have problems and need repairs, or they mess up and you need things fixed, you are out of luck. Once they get your final payment, the customer service disappears. It is really sad. They build beautiful pools, but their customer care on the back end is horrible! Because of that I can not recommend them whatsoever! FOLLOW UP Finally after 3 years of hounding Anthony & Sylvan to repair the things they had said within a month after the pool was finished would be repaired, and threatening to sue them, they engaged and began making the repairs slowly. They came out to repair my concrete decking which cracked almost immediately after it was originally installed and to finally fix our manual fill line that had never worked. When they broke through the concrete to find the leak in the manual fill line, what they they found was 4 feet of the pipe was missing. It wasn't even connected. So, they fixed that finally and we are happy to have a working manual fill line after three years. While fixing the manual fill line they also repaired the pipe that they had put in connecting it to the water faucet on the back of my house. Once again I was glad to have a working manual fill line. UNFORTUNATELY just over a month later I noticed a glistening wet streak running down the edge of my concrete slab of my house where they had replaced the pipe connecting to my faucet. I examined it closely and decided to check on the inside wall, and to my dismay my dinning room wall was wet. Since that time I have had to have water remediation and mold remediation. My dining room has looked like a scene from ET with the plastic sheeting up, the air scrubbers running and dehumidifiers going. The wall has been torn out, the floor is being torn out and I informed ANTHONY & SYLVAN of the problem caused by their repair work. The response I got was, you should contact your home owners insurance. I told them I expect them to pay for the damage they caused. They can file it with their insurance. Seems fair enough...but all I keep getting is, no we are not taking responsibility for the damage we caused...
