It’s taken NHS England more than a year to come up with a list of who had access to Palantir’s Covid-19 NHS datastore… and still somehow doesn’t mention either Palantir or Faculty?

Sadly unsurprising - a massive loophole for law enforcement use of biometrics in the proposed AI regulation. Regulating the private sector is crucially important, but lack of meaningful limits on on LE hands incredible power to actors w/ a poor track record for 'trustworthiness'

If this government wants state schools to be more like independent schools, they could do with funding them better. Latin’s brilliant, but smaller class sizes would be even nicer. And perhaps even, for September, some ventilation?

We’re becoming a nation that only has liberty on license. Vaccine passports invoke a dramatic rebalancing of the relationship between citizen and state. I compare the IDs Cameron scrapped to ’s Covid IDs in today’s Sunday Telegraph:

We have written to the Joint Biosecurity Centre about data to support decisions on the international travel traffic light system. It is our expectation that statistics and data which support decisions should be made available in an accessible form.
