    What IT experts? Most of the ‘IT experts’ I know don’t think that at all. ‘Real ID’ is a highly problematic approach, creating a honeypot of ID data, discriminatory and damaging.

    Sadly true in practice with audio/image data, once the raw data is out there, privacy budgets and tricks eventually give up against better and better models..

    Nice argument against the idea that you can preserve privacy against ML systems by attacking them with poisoned data. Problem is that once the data is out there, defenses can improve, and you can't take that data back
