Initially Disappointed but Better than Expected

I'd been eyeing this set at the gift shop of my local museum but it was $65.00! The Amazon regular price was $50.00 but I happened to catch it half off. When I opened the package I was initially disappointed because I hadn't realized that there were only two actual nesting bowls: one large, one small. The other two are a colander and a mesh strainer/sifter. Let me tell you though, I use this all the time as an avid baker. The longish handles on the measuring cups make it easy to dig into a deep flour bag/Tupperware holder. The fact that there is a 1/3 cup is also a huge plus. I've used every piece of this set and an added bonus is the colors make me happy! This would work especially well if you lived in an apartment with limited space. In fact, it would be great for an RV too.

I admire the design of the Joseph Joseph products but this set lacks utility.

I like the addition of a colander and measuring cups, but the small bowl is too small to use for baking and the sieve is useless without a handle. For baking, you need at least a 6 cup bowl for dry ingredients and a larger bowl for wet ingredients, in this set the blue bowl is too small and the green bowl is too big. Also, although the nesting bowls are small kitchen friendly, they warp after a single dishwasher cycle making it impossible for them to fit together after one use.

My advice to the manufacturer, add a magnet to the handles to keep the set together, get rid of the sieve and add a medium-size bowl. My advice to potential buyers is to skip this set and buy the pieces individually, it will wind up being a better value.

I ordered these during a move, and am really bummed I missed the return window. These are not at all what I expected. The walls of bowls are thin and flimsy plastic. I was expecting something more solid like melamine. The sides are shallow. I prefer a somewhat deep bowl so you don't get flour etc. all over your workspace. The nesting option is really impractical if any piece is in use. There are measurements marked (embossed) in the side of the small bowl, which even with glasses I cannot read. The plastic inside the bowls has scuffs and scrapes and I haven't even used the yet. I will be sure to only use a wooden spoon or silicon utensils, as I can tell metal will make deep scratches that will look ugly and hold stains. Oh, and don't expect a practical medium sized bowl. Those sizes are the strainer and sieve. All in all a disappointment.

I can't believe I paid $50 for a set I could have bought at Dollar Tree for about $5. What was I thinking!!! I own lots of Joseph Joseph items and love them. This isn't one!

There was no original box from joseph joseph! it was just placed in a plastic bag inside the Amazon cardboard, which makes it hard to give as a gift. even though I really like this item, I purchased this to give as a gift but the presentation of it in a plastic bag is not as nice as the well designed box from Joseph Joseph.

I had this in my wish list for over a year. I've had a set of stacking Martha Stewart melamine mixing bowls for forever, so I wasn't sure I could justify purchasing more. But, this set features a colander and sieve, which were both quite useful today with straining homemade limeade. This set is pretty and practical and saves a lot of storage space because everything nestles easily within itself. My only regret is that I waited so long!

This is really great space saver, it's well designed, sturdy and has a good handful of the basics you need instead of just a bunch of mixing bowels. My only wish is that they 'snapped' together better, sometimes they get dislodged when you're putting them away and you have to pull them out and re-stack them on each other.

I seen these advertised in a plane magazine. The design looked great as well as space saving.
I ordered these here on Amazon. The quality was not what I was looking for. The picture looks like they stack nicely and hold together for storage. Not quite true. If you jostle it at all, all the bowls and spoons fall - insde but its not as nice and tight as you would expect.
Overall the quality was less than what we currently have.

It takes a little effort but they fit together nicely. I miss having a proper handle on the sieve. Be careful using them, as metal whisks etc. will scratch them up in no time.

These are great and one feature I wasn't aware of (though probably just missed in the info) is that the cups have ml amounts on them too which is such a simple yet genius feature. All of the items are a good size and they are easy to clean. There are some complaints that using metal tools marks these but frankly if you're stupid enough to use metal tools you deserve marked bowls!

Nice looking bowls and they stack very tidily away so a good space saver.

Though it's nice to have a large sieve and colander in the set, another normal bowl in between the biggest green one and smaller dark blue one would be nice. The sizes of the sieve and dark blue bowl would maybe be better swapped.
