Comment: I want to extend my existing slab foundation to use as a base for a patio now, but be suitable for a future porch or room addition. So I need footings to code, rebar tie in to existing slab, inspections and permitting. Ground is clay/soil/sod, fairly level, and a 3'x3' (9 sqft, 3" visible) slab under exterior door is the only removal needed. Area is in a back corner of house, connecting two exterior walls, 12 feet by 19 feet (228 sqft). Current house slab is visible 6" above grade, but I would prefer the new slab lower to allow for patio finishing material, grading for drainage, etc. A lot of variables here, so I'm looking for ballpark quotes to help me filter. I am ready to move on this job as soon as I can find someone who provides a good value and has availability.
