A University Professor was teaching an Astronomy Class one day, and during the part of his lecture about the Solar Life Cycle, he said, "In 4-billion years, the Sun will expand, killing any life left on Earth."
Upon saying this, a student in one of the middle rows of the lecture hall leaped to his feet, eyes wide, and shouted, "Oh my God! What did you say?!"
The Professor calmly repeated, "I said in 4-billion years, the Sun will expand, killing any life left on Earth."
The student's eyes returned to normal and, sitting back down in his seat, he remarked, "Oh, thank God. I thought you said 4-million years."
Moral of the Story: People worry way too much about things they have no control over and that have no meaning for their lives or anyone else's whatsoever.

He wants to make sure the money gets to the right people, and there are no shenanigans. Now I am paraphrasing, but you know what I mean.
If you count up all of these donations, it’s a lot of cheese, and this does not include, and I repeat does not include the donations of food, clothing, building material, water, boats, and other things that have been flowing into the state.
I’ve been watching all of it, and I am not just letting anything get by me anymore.

If you agree all expenditures of donations should be scrutinized, SHARE this article on your Facebook/Twitter timeline and add your opinion below in the comment section. Don’t let this go by the wayside.

Windows Dev center beta
This is a ximarin cross platform app for windows Dev center.
On the first page I was asked to enter my Hotmail credentials. When I entered my email I got a message that now I will be redirected to the Microsoft login page. For some reason the password entering is happening on the separate page. The first page also had an edit text for for the password so it is not very clear why this redirection is necessary.
I don't have any apps on the windows Dev server and I would expect this app to tell me about that (and it did but in a wrong way)
Issues:
- After loading, the user can only see an empty screen. There is no info displayed to the user if he doesn't have any apps.
- Dashboard menu item in the app drawer returns user to the login screen even if he is already logged in.
- Back button from the login screen returns user to the screen with Return button. Return button brings the user back to the login screen. (Screenshot)
Is there someone who is using windows Dev center? I am curious how does it look if you have a windows app connected to your account.

Zodiacal Light and The Milky Way
Yuri: "The view from the Atacama Desert. :) Stripe of zodiacal light spans across the sky and joins the Milky Way high in the sky. I've been asked many times whether zodiacal is indeed such bright visually? Digital cameras are more capable in collecting photos, but even visually here in Atacama, zodiacal light definitely stands out and clearly visible for unaided eye. Clear skies to all and I hope you'll enjoy the view :)"
Zodiacal Light: a faint elongated cone of light sometimes seen in the night sky, extending from the horizon along the ecliptic. It is thought to be due to the reflection of sunlight from particles of ice and dust within the plane of the solar system.

Liverpool have denied Barcelona’s claims that they were prepared to sell Philippe Coutinho on Spain’s transfer deadline day for €200m (£183m).
The Catalan club had had three bids swiftly rejected for the Brazil midfielder and Liverpool had repeatedly insisted that he was not for sale but, with the 25-year-old handing in a transfer request and not training with his team-mates, citing a back injury, the Catalan club continued to express their optimism that a deal could be done. Within hours of the window closing with no agreement being reached, Barcelona said they had walked away after Liverpool placed a €200m price on him – but that claim has been dismissed as false by the Anfield club.
Barcelona did not say who they spoke to, or where, and sources say that they did attempt to make direct contact with Liverpool’s owner, FSG, on Friday (Spain’s transfer window closed a day after that of the Premier League). However, that approach was knocked back.
Liverpool insist that their position never changed: Coutinho was not for sale for any price at any time, right to the end of the window. The Anfield club maintain that no valuation nor opportunity was offered and that Barcelona were repeatedly made aware throughout the summer that they would not sell. Trappist-1, an ultra-cool dwarf star 39 light years from Earth, was recently discovered to have 7 planets in close orbit around it. Now astronomers have used Hubble to determine how much Ultra-violet radiation has been hitting those planets in order to determine how likely liquid water is to have survived on their surfaces.
UV radiation breaks water down into Oxygen and Hydrogen, so over time intense UV will break down any surface water. The star generates UV flares, and the planet's close proximity to the star means the closest ones could have lost the equivalent of 20 Earth oceans of water. Depending on the age of the system, the furthest planets (including those in the 'habitable zone') could possibly have been able to hold on to liquid water, but they could still have lost significant amounts.

Celestial nomad takes centre stage
In this new ESO image, nightfall raises the curtain on a theatrical display taking place in the cloudless skies over La Silla.
In a scene humming with activity, the major players captured here are Comet Lovejoy, glowing green in the centre of the image; the Pleiades above and to the right; and the California Nebula, providing some contrast in the form of a red arc of gas directly to the right of Lovejoy.
A meteor adds its own streak of light to the scene, seeming to plunge into the hazy pool of green light collecting along the horizon.
The telescopes of La Silla provide an audience for this celestial performance, and a thin shroud of low altitude cloud clings to the plain below the observatory streaked by the Panamericana Highway.
Comet Lovejoy’s long tail is being pushed away from the comet by the solar wind. Carbon compounds that have been excited by ultraviolet radiation from the Sun give it its striking green hue.
This is the first time the comet has passed through the inner Solar System and ignited so spectacularly in over 11 000 years. Its highly elliptical orbit about the Sun — adjusted slightly due to meddling planets — means that it will not grace our skies for another 8000 years once it has rounded the Sun and begun its lonely voyage back into the cold outer regions of the Solar System.
This image was taken by ESO Photo Ambassador Petr Horálek during a visit to La Silla in January 2015. The sky in this image was captured with a series of long exposures, resulting in the wonderful vista of the comet in the sky. However, the bottom half uses only one of these exposures in order to retain the sharpness of the La Silla landscape.

Some online companies in Malaysia use both WhatsApp and Telegram for communications. Using WhatsApp to communicate with clients is obvious, since almost all Malaysians use WhatsApp. Using Telegram for internal team communications is what's interesting though. Rather than just use WhatsApp, these businesses prefer using Telegram for their group messaging. In a way, it supports what I've been saying all along. WhatsApp is "good" because many people use it, but if given the choice, people will use Telegram because it is actually better.

On this day, September 3rd,1997-On the HIStory World Tour Michael performs at the Wellington Hypodome in Ostend, Belgium to an audience of 60,000 and dedicates the show to his friend Princess Diana.Previously Michael cancelled this concert which was supposed to take place on August 31.
When the Ostend concert finally went ahead, Michael dedicated it to the ‘Queen of Hearts’, and prior to the show he had two huge pictures of Diana put on stage. During the concert fans held burning lighters high above their heads as Michael played Gone Too Soon and his planned (but ultimately withdrawn) Christmas single Smile, in remembrance of Diana.
In paying tribute to Diana, speaking via Kingdom International, Michael also took a swipe at the world’s paparazzi:
"The sudden loss of Diana, Princess of Wales, is one of the greatest tragedies of the millennium. Diana was a friend to the world. As one who has been under scrutiny the majority of my life, I speak with authority when I say that I am horrified that the paparazzi, supported by the tabloids’ animalistic behaviour, may be acceptable to the public. The world’s acceptance of this practice, if continued, will accelerate tragedies of this magnitude."
Michael subsequently contributed Gone Too Soon to TRIBUTE (USA: Diana Memorial Fund 69012, UK: Diana Memorial Fund VVR 1001052), an album comprising 36 songs, 13 of them previously unreleased. All proceeds from sales of the album went to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.

Sony’s 3D Creator app is an augmented reality marvel that made even my cynical old soul happy and joyful. Up until this year, AR has always been a clumsy gimmick, poorly implemented and mostly useless beyond the initial novelty. Sony’s trick is to create a 3D scanner that is astoundingly accurate and detailed, truly professional level stuff done with just the regular hardware of your Android smartphone.
Apple’s ARKit has proven exciting in large part because you don’t need special equipment or an especially large and clunky device to use it with. I still think it has potential to be a quietly revolutionary change for the way we all use our phones. And Sony’s stepping right up to the same high level of achievement with its 3D Creator.
