A good close combat fight in a film that's just ok

The trailer makes this film look like a big epic all out militery vs Alien war but it quickly boils down to a story of a group of marines fighting close combat with the Aliens while they are trying to rescue survivors.
The close combat fighting has been done well, the effects are good but overall the film is just ok.
There is some poor cringey dialogue between the marines and perhaps just too many characters introduced to you at the start that you forget who most of them are.
The story is simple and obvious but something was lacking. Maybe a bit of emotion, i did not care what happened to any of the characters really and again like skyline you want to know more about the Aliens. You also need a bit of a back story. Worth going to see but also worth just waiting for the dvd.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 02 May 2013It's quite good! It's not the best action/sci-fi invasion film but it's worth a watch. It's more the emotional side of things rather than the blowing up and shooting in slow motion type film. I was a bit skeptical when it started but glad I kept with it. I wouldn't go out of the way to watch again, but maybe if it was on TV I'd tune in.- Was this review helpful to you?

Bond between marines

Abysmally boring film
By a customer , 22 Apr 2013I was bored senseless with this film, thought there were lots of gun fights and things blowing up, aliens and so forth, i just felt bored out of my mind.
