Reason 13 Europa make it analog
I will be using a technique which I also use a lot inside of thor.
As I have mentioned in a video Europa my life just changed:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbycXo0NMAU
I have noticed that a lot of settings inside the wavetable are per key, per velocity and you can modify them in many different ways.
The main concept will be that the higher the key goes, the more or less the values from either pitch, or shape will change.
Therefor the character of the sound will change. This will be handy once you starting combining high octaves with lower octaves or just by hitting a chord.
just some random stuff over here:

A 32 minute long free running envelope - the short version
I had some questions related to the length of the video I did this afternoon, so therefor, I decided to create a shortcut video related to a topic I posted earlier this day.
today I am going to present a video where I did an experiment by adjusting an envelope in a specific way. Because I know that the envelope movement is per key / per velocity I wanted to try something special.
While I was experimenting with it, I started to notice something. The movement of the envelope all of a sudden was slower than what it normally can do.
I never this would happen, because normally an envelope rate is fixed by a min/max value of 0 till 127.
There is however an exception in this rule, and this is happening inside digital display envelopes (eg: envelope generators). Apperently you can push these envelopes to insanity. I also checked this by using an LFO (this has the same behavior).
So far the only two devices that have this behavior are Grain and Europa. I haven't found these things elsewhere.
So if you found a device that can also do this, please let me know in the comments. I am interested ;)
Ps, the video footage I am using is from a music album I once created. This is the game called Elite dangerous. In case you are curious about that part.
Ps2: I am mentioning 33 minutes in this case, the exact length is 32 minutes and 19 seconds
happy new year, have an awesome 2025

my final video for 2024
Today I want to do a final video for 2024. This has been an awesome ride so far. With about 129 videos uploaded in the last 8 months.
I am closing the book for 2024 tomorrow. And personally this was a year with a mixed bag of feelings. I made a vlog about it earlier this year, and I don't want to look back but towards the future.
So anyways, I have done some final thoughts at the end of the video. I wish you all the best for 2025!
Have a nice evening

Aphex Twin mode - using the random tool
today I will be creating something 'Aphex Twin' mode. While I do know what type of original method he would use, I think this style and method I am going for still has 'that type of vibe'.
I am making this video simply because it is an easy way to create it. Therefor, I thought like... I know how his brain kind of like works, since I have a similar brain... I would just put this one out there.
Make note, random != math... so there is still a difference there ;)

First Impressions Reason 13.1
today I am going to throw my first impressions after really working with reason 13.1 in the first day. While I did beta test myself, I didn't really used it as I would normally would. Since it was all about testing things.
Since the stable release is now here, I am going to throw in my personal opinion about it.
And yes, I have my thoughts about tagging things... because if you are someone like me, and made more then 100 000 patches in the past, then tagging all these patches would be almost like a year job to complete ;)
I am also curious about how would you make use of the custom tags? Like I said, for it is almost an impossible thing to do.
So therefor I am making a personal statement about the tagging system, because for me.. but that is a personal thing, I don't thing I can use it on my system / workflow.
I am actually thinking about making myself a tool so I can fill up the liteSQL files myself. But that is for later.
Anyways, have lots of fun and I will talk to you later.

Random Notes
today I am just going to do a small video about 2 new players that have been added since the recent release of reason 13.1 (which dropped yesterday).
While the patch notes are pretty big, I didn't really want to be bothered by going through all of them, since well... there is also a big page from reasonstudios that contains all the patch notes.
Most important parts would most likely be the custom tags and the 2 new players and some workflow related issues.
If you want to know more about them, here you go:
https://www.reasonstudios.com/en/reason/updates/release-notes?srsltid=justSomeRandomId
Anyways, today I wanted to showcase what kind of things you could do with them just to give some inspiration. That is all.
Have lots of fun, and I will talk to you later.

Crossover and xmod A Theory
today I am going to do a short video about debunking a theory about certain synths that uses a setting like xmod or cross over. Feel free to throw in your thoughts.
Anyways, first I will be looking into a Jup-8 (emulation of the jupiter 8). There is one audiable oscillator inside this patch and the other oscillator will just modulate the other using the crossover setting.
By altering the pitch of the non audiable oscillator you can hear the changes coming through while the cross over is opened up.
Therefor I started to experimenting using my own idea to create something like it. Yet, it will not be the exact thing, nor do I want it to be the exact same thing.
I am going to go for a combination of AM and pitch. I will also explain why Frequency modulation is not ideal with this setting (yet it does something similar).

=======
I am Hydlide of reasonexperts
today I wanted to do a type of documentary about a reason production that I did for a competition for the Reason Deutsche Sprache community (aka RSG)
After doing the Halloween Competition for ReasonStudios, we came up with the idea to do a community driven competition to make a track using a set of voice samples made by martina.
In this video I will show case the following
- how this competition came about
- what track I submitted
- how I came up the idea on making the track
- how I came up with certain ideas
I might note I haven't payed much attention to mixing the track, all I have done is set the initial voice channel values and let them be. So from a mixing perspective this is nothing special.
For the mastering, I used a preset from OZone Izotope 8. So since this is nothing special either I kept this from this video.
To respect the work of martina I am not going to show case the voice editing work I did for this take. Because you could easily strip them... and I just wanted to avoid that
So now you know the details, enjoy.
and have a nice weekend!

sound design a custom layered rhodes mk1
today I wanted to share an idea on how to create a rich type of rhodes piano that consists of existing samples that are a part of the NN-XT sampler.
The thing I have been doing as of lately, I have been listening in to all kind of different documentaries, introduction videos and what not else about the rhodes mk1 and mk2.
Then thing I often picked up (and this was also explained in a video like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmhgIVpxm_I) is that there is this tremolo thing taking place per key. To emphasize this momentum there are several layers that actually make use of that idea (even while they are mk2 samples).
So I am layering different elements to get different character elements from the rhodes. While this is a linear setup I am going for, it is also an option to layer them differently.
So I am going to provide a zip file, containing different NN-XT patches that would capture a different character per patch
