The only thing that bothered me was that they did not include the soft trigger that is advertised in the product advertising, also the wrench to adjust the screws did not come either, this is also advertised as something included in the package.I hope they are much more careful with the items they advertise and then do not arrive. Otherwise, it is an excellent piece for my camera, definitely a great product.

    NEEWER STATEMENT:

    I've had several NEEWER products in photography over the last five years, including rigs & LED lights, and I look forward to buying a cage for my Canon R3.

    They have everything from a photographer buying their first mirrorless camera lighting set to professional equipment that will get you through any shoot t anywhere in the world.

    I've owned several Canon cameras over my career, and I currently own the R3 five and just purchased a second R3.

    Per the statement above, when I decide to buy a cage for my camera, unless they don't make it come from NEEWER.

    This company makes various camera rigs and accessories for all the top brands.

    It is considered one of the higher-end brands in the secondary market of cameras, cages, rigs, and all types of accessories for the industry.

    For the last three years, Canon and Nikon have been going head TO HEAD, and with Nikon coming out with their Z8 and Z9, it is becoming one of the most popular cameras on the Nikon line.

    When you get this camera grip in your hand, you have to take a moment and appreciate the engineering design quality and the sheer size of a giant camera.

    You look at it from the front; they took time and designed a camera with an endless amount of screws, everything from 1/4 to 3/8, two cold shoes mounted for a camera strap, And an attachable grip.

    They even included an Allen wrench key on the bottom and the new style magnetic keys for the Arca Swiss plate 1/4 screw.

    It's just a beautiful design—the time to put an extra piece of rubber where the base of a camera goes.

    My favorite part is the GRIP and the rubber they use, and if you SWEAT, it gives you a BETTER grip, no worse.

    This is important because you get a vibration when you're shooting and running.

    This type of camera rig is designed for high-end shooting. It has several accessories you can put on here, including two external grips, a tripod/wireless microphone, a shotgun, external battery packs, and the famous hand grip.

    They did a fantastic job designing this camera with the idea that it would create an extra layer of protection.

    This is because the type of camera will be going through the motions and taking a beating when it comes to video production is

    They took time to design us correctly with a vast array of buttons that Nikon is known for, along with not blocking the battery and Nikon's new release of their flippy screen.

    Nikon took a page out of Canon's playbook and introduced a flippy screen as a game-changer

    When it comes to Nikon's high-end, professional, commercial-grade cameras, this is a great rig.

    I also want to take a minute to comment on the sheer amount of screws they introduced with this grip because not many companies take the time when it comes to design and manufacturing to focus on the small nuances of such a high-end camera.

    With the many accessories that can be added to this camera, one of my favorite aspects is a rotatable side handle called a NATO rail. They also have another grip for stabilizing shooting.

    If you look at their page, they have various accessories for this camera. They can put this cage into the three or $400 range.

    This cage is a game changer for people on a budget compared to the competition, where a cage like this would typically run between $200 and $300, and that does not include any accessories.

    I give them a ten on design, CNC manufacturing creativity, and creating an excellent camera cage for the price point.

    A Nikon shooter who has invested time and money into a Z8 would be ecstatic about using this on any commercial video or photo shoot.

    I'll post a 30-day follow-up of the script as I give it to a friend who exclusively shoots Nikon, and I shoot Canon.

    After screwing everything into the place this was a perfect fit for the Z f with zero rattling or looseness anywhere on the cage. The cage is perfect for giving the Z f a larger footprint and feels much more secure to handle due to the grip. Clamp keeps HDMI nice and secure. The mounting points add the flexibility to easily add or remove accessories at will. Overall this is a solid half cage.

    Video cages are nothing more than fancy metal camera cases. You can hook up any number of accessories to this cage whether it be mics, lights, hard drives, monitors, etc.

    There are all sorts of connection points on the cage and all are well placed and useful. The cage fits the camera perfectly and protects it in case of a fall. If it did nothing else it would be worth this money but if you shoot video then you really need something like this to be able to properly mount all the stuff that seems to go with shooting video.

    I was surprised at the high quality given the low price point but Neewer as a brand has really been stepping it up lately. I am impressed and will use this cage as long as I have the camera. Highly recommended.

    Mir ist nämlich was Peinliches passiert: Der Cage ist für eine Nikon Z F (die ich gar nicht hab) und ich hab das Teil irrtümlich für meine Zfc bestellt. Da war wohl der Wunsch der Vater des Gedankens, weil für die Zfc hatte ich soweit nur L-Frames (meist mit unansehnlichem Holzgriff) gefunden und plötzlich war da der Cage von Neewer im Angebot und ich musste ihn haben.

    Eigentlich wollte ich das Teil gleich unbesehen an einen Z F Besitzer weitergeben, aber hab es dann doch ohne große Erwartungen auf meine Kamera geschraubt und siehe da…das Teil passt!
    Mit ein paar Einschränkungen: Das Rad rechts vorne, das standardmäßig mit Blendeneinstellung belegt ist, ist blockiert (stört mich nicht, weil ich die Blende auf das Objektiv gelegt habe) und der Batterie/Speicher-Deckel geht nicht auf.

    Trotzdem: ich nutze den Cage bei jedem Videodreh mit der Zfc und die Einschränkungen stören mich überhaupt nicht. Alles an notwendigem Videozubehör passt bombensicher drauf und ich bin glücklich über das Versehen, weil mit Absicht hätte ich mir das ‚falsche‘ Teil nie bestellt.

    Ayant déjà en ma possession divers produits de la marque NEEWER (Lumières, cages pour appareil ..) mon avis reste inchangé, on a encore là de la qualité et du style.

    La demi cage avec son métal et sa poignée noire est sublime .

    En dehors de l'aspect visuel, ce qui prime c'est surtout le côté pratique et là c'est juste une merveille pour accessoiriser votre appareil.

    Ajouts de micros, de lumières, de poignées etc.. tout ça sur tous les points de montage accessibles , vous avez une quasi liberté totale pour y mettre les accessoires qui vous tiennent à coeur avec grande facilité et sans empêcher l'accès aux connectiques et la trappe de la batterie.
