I weighed this critter and it came in at 32 ounces. That's almost a pound less than the compact aluminum light stand I was using as a travel stand and this one is a couple of feet taller The length when folded is 20 inches. If it were an inch shorter it would fit in my LowePro airline carry on case. Putting it in diagonally doesn't count! LOL
The extended height is close to 7 feet, which is as high as I'd want to extend a stand this light. I think it will be perfect for my AD200 strobes if don't try to use a huge soft box.
It seems really well made and designed. I'm going to treat it gently - if you like to abuse your light stands this one is not for you.
Update: I now have four of these stands and have had no problems at all. These are the only stands I use with my AD200s, even in my home studio.

Its light, but....with any type of flash higher than 4 ft, it gets sketchy
So i used this for the first time on a photoshoot, and thought it would be better with the Q4 flash. However with a softbox (90cl and 120cm), heres where the issue came in. Once you raise it to anything over 4 ft. It bows HEAVY!Like to the point, Id drop it anytime i wasn't using it in fear it would tip. The stability is just not there for any softbox. As a general tripod, yes it works great! But this is advertised as a reinforced light stand. Very disappointment in this. I have 2 of them and both do the same. Its just the thin pole at the higher end of the height adjustment is not stable enough to support a flash & softbox.The way i had to use it, was to carefully position the legs so there was stability in front, and weight down the back. No matter how wide the legs went, it didnt make a difference.Ill continue to use these as regular tripods, but sadly I cant recommend them for any flashes or anything with forward bearing weight.

If you buy a light kit that comes with light stands, this will definitely be an upgrade to whatever you have. It's lightweight and strong, plus it extends pretty high. In almost all the pictures, they show the light stand with the legs closer together, set for height and not stability. If you want this light stand to be as stable as possible, you'll want the legs to be as spread out as possible. This means you won't get the max height out of it, but you won't need it's max height 99% of the time. As you can see from my images, it does bend a bit when it's got a light with a softbox. There's just enough weight to bend it. I'm confident it won't break, because it feels strong, but it's definitely not going to be as sturdy as a C-Stand. It would be perfect for a light that doesn't use a softbox, though. Either way, it's a really nice light stand.

Today I'm reviewing this carbon fiber light stand by Neewer,
As you can see it arrives in a cardboard box with a nice depiction of the tripod stand on the box. Other than that, it is basic faire for a box and measures 21x4x4 inches. This is reasonably compact and easy to store away. Let's remove the tripod stand from the box.
It is in a plastic bag with a zip tie. We'll slide the nice carry bag, and it is branded with Neewer. It has some drawstrings that can go over your shoulder but might not be the most comfortable thing. This is a fairly light tripod so it shouldn't dig in at all. It has a spring-loaded lace lock. We'll loosen this and remove the stand from the carrying bag. We have a final plastic bag here which we will remove.
The light stand: I like the design cues from the carbon fiber here. It is very sharp looking. The stand is about 19" at this point. We'll open up the legs and you can have a nice wide base or open more to go a bit higher. This feels sturdy with the small base. You get a lot of height here; each section is about 14". Each section can be individually locked in place. This is carbon fiber which makes it very light. The nut on the end can be either 1/8 or 1/4 inch in size. The specs seem accurate to the listing, the quality looks good to my non-professional eyes. There are some eyelets that could be weighted to make it steadier.
We'll get a weight and take a look at it standing up. Inside the included travel bag this light stand comes in at two pounds and two ounces. Here you can see that I have attached a small light panel to the stand (required the smaller bolt on the stand). A closer look at a section of the light stand, and then a glance down from the light to the base.
I like the build quality and low weight of this tripod.

La prise en main est bonne avec une sensation de qualité. Mais le compromis est davantage en faveur de la légèreté / compacité que de la solidité. En effet, une fois les petits tubes télescopiques sortis, mon spot led Amaran 200X (3kg) et ma softbox (2kg) culminent à 2m de hauteur mais leur équilibre ne me rassure pas... ces 5kg d'équipement, légèrement déportés vers l'avant font tanguer le tout, même s'il tient. Pas de mystère, pour un pied solide et rassurant, il faut des tubes téléscopiques suffisamment épais et lourds.
Il ne remplacera pas mes pieds PhocusLine, les meilleurs compromis pour mon équipement.
Le pied me servira néanmoins pour éclairer sans softbox le cas échéant.
