Excellent Flexibility for Mounting Lights, Cameras, Etc.
What makes these mounts great is that they have the desktop mounts. That makes them very flexible. They can even be mounted on the side of a bookshelf, so long as the bookshelf is strong enough to support it and the weight of whatever you mount on them.I currently use tripods for mounting lights on next to my table, but due to the size of the extended tripod bases, it's difficult to get them exactly where I want them sometimes, as they bump into the sides of the table, the wall, etc.. As you can see in the pictures, I have mounted this on the desktop where I take photos. That's awesome. Not only can I use this to mount a light like I did in the sample photos, I can use it to mount a GoPro, or with it's maximum angled weight of 6.6lb, even a DSLR. By the way, the maximum supported weight of these when not angling the ball head is a whopping 22lb!The ball head on the top rotates, giving you a full 360 degrees to work with for directing your light or camera. Attaching items is easy, as the baseplate spins to screw into the item being mounted. The ball head can even be removed for direct stem mounting of items that you just need mounted without the ability to direct the angle.Neewer, one of my favorite manufacturers of photography and videography equipment, even included 1/4" to 5/8 stud adapters, giving you the ability to mount even more gear on, such as larger lights that use a stud mount, rather than the 1/4" mount. One thing I think is great with these is that you can use the studs to mount a crossbar, and then mount overhead gear from that for top-down photography/videography. That's awesome for folks who make skill-based videos, such as drawing, painting, electronics repair, etc., to film a top-down view of them doing their demo. As I mentioned before, if you're just mounting something directly above the pole without angling the ball head, you have 22lbs-worth of support to work with for each one! You can mount up to 44lb across the pair when using a crossbar. That's a lot of lights/cameras/fuzzy dice, etc.With a maximum extension length of 40 inches (that's nearly 3 1/2 feet, folks), you have a TON of capabilities. One thing to keep in mind is that as you add length, physics starts to work against, you, making them less stable, so if you're mounting a camera, you want to be careful bumping the table these are connected to, as that motion will translate into the film, causing some wobble. Most modern cameras have some image stabilization, but your mileage may vary.The price is a little high for a pair of desktop mounts, but with Neewer, the quality is always good, so I can't take away any points for that. The Neewer name is fast becoming a household name in the photo/video game - and with good reason. I've owned Neewer gear for several years now, and have never had a problem with any of it. I'd rather pay a little more up front and never have a problem, than to save a little bit of money and have something that breaks easily and has to be replaced, which almost always happens when you need to use it. The long and short of it is that this is another great Neewer product!

The clamp is 2” deep (it is best if your desk has 2” of clear space under the surface), and the clamp can be backed off to allow for desks up to 2” thick.
Measured from the desk surface to the top of the socket (i.e. with the ¼” rod facing horizontally), the overall height varies from roughly 16.25” (fully retracted) to 27.5” (large rod fully extended) to 39.5” (both rods fully extended).
The swivel ball is very solid and locks into place securely; the rod can be rotated to be perpendicular with the upright post.
I’ve switched from a flexible mount to this post (coupled with a Neewer Smartphone Video Rig) for making video reviews… it holds the phone almost completely still even when the desk is gently knocked.
Although flexible rods are easier to adjust for the optimal shot, this rigid rod allows for much more stable recording as long as the clamp is compatible with your desk.

Die Verarbeitung der Tischstative ist gut. Die Oberfläche ist sauber beschichtet, und die Verriegelungsschrauben für die Verlängerungssegmente sind leichtgängig. Die Kugelköpfe sind auch leichtgängig und wirklich funktional. Die Tischstative werden am Tisch mit den Schraubklemmen fixiert. Dabei ist die Klemmschraube, als auch das Gegenstück der Klemmschraube gummiert. Es wird der Tisch also nicht beschädigt.
Ich verwende die Tischstative, um eine Videobeleuchtung für Video Konferenzen zu nutzen, wo es auch um eine gut ausgeleuchtetes Bild geht. Das funktioniert bestens, da die Tischstative stabil sind und sehr gut in der Höher verstellbar sind, genau so wie man es benötigt!
Fazit:
Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich gut, und die Tischstative sind funktional für eine Video Beleuchtung. Daher gebe ich 5 Sterne!
