I was quite surprised after I bought this to see that it was made of high quality metal, I certainly believe
that it is machined aluminium although I am not sure, rather than plastic. this is really a very sturdy device .
with the adapter for a phone as well as the adapter for my GoPro, it can really mount any camera on any small rail or pole etc. I was really quite pleased and surprised at the quality
