Pretty cool tube light, without breaking the bank
My use case is a home office YouTube studio to produce talking head content. Once I discovered tube lights, I loved the idea but the "pro" level ones seemed ridiculously expensive for my needs. This particular one is great--it's big enough for my small office and I've picked up some smaller lights from Neewer and have some really cool lighting options now. If you need to use it for daylight/5600k, this tube has you covered. There's also an app where you can dial in RGB colors (they also have some "gel" presets) and then it has the effects that I will never use, but they're there.I'm not using these for run-and-gun projects so I've literally set them up, connected them to power and they just work. I'm not using these for run-and-gun projects so I've literally set them up, connected them to power and they just work. They claim 2 hour battery life at 100% power and from the one time I tried that, I can say that's pretty accurate.
The only downside to these lights (and all of the other ones I have from Neewer) is they don't always reliably connect to the app. Sometimes the only way to get them to connect is to delete them from the app and connect again. It's a bit of a pain, but I can live with it. Once they are connected, they seem to work fine, I'm just not sure I would feel super confident using these to shoot a wedding or something important that wasn't in a studio setting.
