Your DoD Pesticide Applicator Certificate

You can print a copy of your most recent Pesticide Applicator Certificate by visiting the Tracking Tool (First time users will need to request access).

Recertify by Distance Learning

You can recertify online by taking the Pest Management Recertification Course on the MEDCOE Blackboard Training Site.

To enroll1,2, all you have to do is click "Register" on the ATRRS Pest Managment Recertification Distance Learning Course Information Page. Have a digital copy of your current certificate ready to upload as your first assignment in the course.

1 First time users may have to register for an ATRRS account.
2 Contracted personnel will need to be sponsored via the Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Portal. Sponsors can be their Supervisor or Contracting Officer (KO) or Representative (COR).

Enrollment for Courses Listed Below

Prospective students1,2 for the courses listed below MUST work with their local training office3 and chain of command to submit a completed DA Form 3838, Application for Short Course Training, or Standard Form 182, Authorization, Agreement, and Certification of Training. Use the course information in the ATRRS Catalogue to complete the DA Form 3838 or SF 182 and DTS TDY Authorization accurately.

Sending an Application for Short Course Training through any other channel will only delay your enrollment.

1 There is no tuition/registration fee for DoD civilians (GS, NAF, WG, VA, etc) or military (Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force, Space Force).
2 CONTRACTOR SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: contracted personnel will need their Contracting Officer (KO) or Representative (COR) to submit a Performance Work Statement (PWS) or Statement of Work (SOW) to MEDCOE G-37 Office. The PWS must clearly state the requested training is required. Once the PWS is reviewed, a DA Form 3838 will be provided to be completed. The contractor training request must be received no later than 60 days prior to ATRRS course start date for review and determination of contractor eligibility, processing, and registration.
3 IMCOM personnel contact your local Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) to determine who your ATTRS Operator is to send your packet to.

DoD Pest Management Certification Course (Initial Training)

Course Number: 6H-F12/322-F12 Core Phase, Vegetation Management Phase, and Public Health Phase

Target Audience: All DoD Civilian and Military personnel that need DoD Pesticide Applicator certification in categories 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8. Contractors may attend on a space available basis.

Prerequisites: n/a

Course Description: Three-week training course (120 hours) that meets the basic requirement for initial certification training under DoDI 4150.07. Course completion with the minimum passing scores satisfies the formal training and testing requirements for initial certification in categories 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Note: Students ONLY requiring categories 2, 3, 5 & 6, do NOT need to attend week three. DO NOT register for the third phase and update the dates and course title on your DA Form 3838.

2024 Course Dates: 8-26 January and 15 July-2 August

2025 Course Dates: 6-24 January and 14 July-1 August

DoD Pest Management Recertification Course

Course Number: 6H-F13/322-F13

Target Audience: All DoD Civilian and Military personnel needing DoD Pesticide Applicator Recertification. Contractors may attend on a space available basis.

Prerequisites: Course applicants must possess a valid DoD Pesticide Applicator Certification issued by a MACOM certifying official.

Course Description: One week (40 hours) training course that meets the basic requirements for recertification under DoDI 4150.07. It includes refresher training and certification exams for Core Phase, Vegetation Management Phase (categories 2, 3, 5, 6), and Public Health Phase (categories 7, 8).

DoD Pest Management Quality Assurance Evaluator/Installation Pest Management Coordinator Course

Course Number: 6H-F33/322-F31

Target Audience: All DoD Civilian and Military personnel involved with or interested in Installation Pest Management activities/operations.

Prerequisites: n/a

Course Description: One week (40 hours) course tailored to: 1) Pest Management Quality Assurance Evaluators (PMQAEs) who monitor and evaluate pest management contract management services on DoD installations but do not apply or directly supervise pesticide application themselves; 2) Installation Pest Management Coordinators (IPMCs) who are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the installation`s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program on behalf of the garrison commander. Successful completion of the course results in a three-year accreditation (not certification). The focus of the course is to provide general information on all aspects of pest management, contract administration, and oversight of DoD IPM programs.
