"Great family business! They are friendly, genuine, and because of the sad state of our garage, made sure they got us in quickly. The quote they gave us in the beginning never changed, no surprises at the end of the project. Wonderful workmanship, Work was done timely and neatly. Respect to property, good job cleanup. Would highly recommend, especially if you want to support local small businesses."

Residential Remodels
"Upon contacting CDJ Remodeling I spoke with Chris and Jessica, the owners. He was very professional and responded in a timely manner. They finished the project ahead of schedule and took every step very seriously. Their prices are worth every penny, and they are very affordable. They also completed extra tasks along the way free of charge for me as well. I was very impressed by them from start to finish!! I would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone in need of a contractor!!"

Custom Cabinets - built at our shop & installed, Kitchen cabinets & vanities, Laminate Countertops fabricated and installed. Wilsonart HD, Formica 180fx
"Jim did an excellent job. We are thrilled with the finished product. He was very helpful, making suggestions and helping us make decisions. We have had laminate installed a few other times, but this was by far the best installation ever. He came to our house a few times before the installation to discuss exactly what we were getting. We also went to his shop to see some of his finished work prior to hiring him. I would definitely recommend him. He was very professional every step of the way. What we really like was the fact that you could see he really took pride in his work. This is something hard to find these days."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
