Snug in the toe box and I ordered a 1/2 size larger
The Skechers Viper Court Smash shoe was too short and snug in the toe box for me, and I ordered a half size larger than my normal size.In addition, this shoe's sole didn't feel like it provided enough support for the ankles for quick, lateral movements. When compared to my current KSWISS shoes, the Viper Court Smash sole seems to be a little bit narrower around the arch area. Not by much, but maybe enough to make it feel less stable. The outer part of the shoe is made of some kind of synthetic plastic-y material, which didn't seem very breathable.Not quite sure how to rate because I didn't actually wear these to play. I don't know that there's anything physically wrong with these shoes, but they just didn't work for me.For reference, I play pickleball about 3-4 times a week and have found that it takes quite an effort to find shoes that are comfortable in the toe box. My foot may be on the borderline of medium-wide, because I have some shoes in a wide size and some in a medium width and both work for me.
