The inspection and report were thorough and clear with numerous photos. Based on items listed in the GENERAL SUMMARY, I put together a memo to Seller, stating what should be repaired or replaced prior to closing. As an investor, I buy and sell frequently. I plan to hire Mark Griffith from Griffith Home Inspections for future purchases.

Google search for home inspector prompted an e-mail and a call from FHI. Melinda was very courteous, informative and professional. She accommodated my request for an inspection on a Saturday! Tim, the inspector showed up promptly as scheduled. He was very knowledgeable and informative. My inspection report with my repair requests to seller was due by Monday evening. Tim said that I would receive the report by Monday afternoon. I did not. I called the company at 7:30 p.m. Monday and requested a return call from the owner. No one called to update me as to when the inspection report would be sent to me. This had me on edge since I was dealing with a legal contract. I opened my e-mail on Tuesday morning and it had been e-mailed at 11:30 p.m. Monday evening. A courtesy call from the owner would have been nice. I would use this company again, however, I would request clarity on arrival time of report. I would also suggest that whoever handles the final report, call the customer to update them if report is not going to be ready as promised. Fortunately, I am purchasing the house from a friend, and we had some wiggle room on the repair request timing. If I had been purchasing through a realtor, I don't know if the late report would have been acceptable.

Very good work and responsive to questions. Talked to several inspectors, and I always get the sense that they jack up their list price once they hear that the house is in an expensive neighborhood. This price was competitive, but still higher than what I see quoted online.
