Instalace

Critical Error in my side from elemantor

After minor changes I make to my website with the Elemantor program, the website interface gives a critical error. And I couldn’t fix this error for 2 weeks. There is no such thing as a support team. You are completely alone. I couldn’t find how to fix it. The most critical plugin and the most critical bug is that the company has no support system.

Too many ads and nags

While Elementor itself is not a bad pagebuilder, it does LACK FULL ACF support and as of late, the constant push for Elementor AI and Elementor Image Optimization. These are NOT separate plugins for Elementor, but instead built into the pagebuilder that CANNOT be disabled. Even if you already have an image optimization plugin installed like Smush, Shortpixel, etc., Elementor STILL pushes it’s own Image Optimization plugin throughout the editor, media library, etc. The AI is also getting out of hand while trying to build pages out. Constant POPUPS to use Elementor AI (even after you close the popup) that interrupt your workflow. Elementor is basically giving it’s pro subscribers/developers the finger all to make a buck.There are numerous github threads asking Elementor to come up with a better solution. This is where we are directed to suggest new features and what not, so they can be upvoted on and taken into consideration for development. As of now these threads are where these discussions can be viewed (with some code snippets to disable/hide some of the AI nags):Github thread #22796 has 69 upvotesGithub thread #22853 has 61 upvotesBoth of these threads have been going on since June 2023, with no responses from Elementor. And all of this can be seen by our clients which prompts concerns and constant explanations which also diminishes the clients trust in us developers.

I love to use Elementor but I honestly cannot recommend it at all in its current state, especially for digital agencies / web design companies. They’ve released various addon products, not included in the standard Free or Pro plan, which is fine. The problem is, even on the paid/Pro plan, we (and more importantly OUR CLIENTS) see these regular nag messages, prompting them to purchase things like AI, Image Optimization etc. These messages cannot not be disabled / keeps showing at various points. This is causing serious issues for various agencies with their clients complaining about these messages and/or them thinking their site doesn’t have good features.E.G. We already use an image optimization plugin and tell our clients their images are highly optimized to make their site as fast as possible. Then they log into to make a post etc and see a message telling them their images are not optimized and can cause them problems…which in turn causes them to complain to us and potentially LOSE A CLIENT. Elementor, I get you want people to buy your addon products but you need to STOP nagging users on PRO plan websites! I can’t believe I have to say this.

As a pagebuilder Elementor is certainly good, but IMO there’s better and if you need premium features you’ll find that an Elementor pro subscription is more aggressively priced than the competition. But I signed up for Elementor Pro a couple years ago because Elementor basic was bundled with the theme for my main site. I’ve really come to despise the way Elementor has taken to inserting promos for new paid add-ons after some updates. I’m not talking about a banner announcing a new feature – that’s pretty common and I don’t mind that. But after today’s update I’m now seeing a „Generate with Elementor AI“ promo by the Excerpt field in EVERY one of my posts. And „Edit with Elementor AI“ on EVERY image attachment, with no way to disable the notifications in the settings. A few months ago they did the same thing with their Image Optimizer (or whatever it was called) – after an update there was suddenly a promo for it EVERY TIME you went into the media library. They did get rid of that, but only after several people complained here. If I am paying a company for the use of a product, there’s no justification for that company using my dashboard to relentlessly advertise completely unrelated products. It’s very invasive, and doing that repeatedly completely undermines trust – it makes you fearful of what they’re going to force on you after future updates. I canceled my Elementor Pro sub and will look into eliminating Elementor altogether or as much as possible from this site since I just learned (thanks to other posts here) that Elementor Pro features now become unusable after you stop paying for a sub. As a small business, I can understand that Elementor is feeling pressure to grow. But they need to understand that customers rightly resent paying for a product that uses their websites used for FREE advertisement.
