Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, requires federal agencies to make electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to persons with disabilities. Their experience should be comparable to the experience of people without disabilities.

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
Congress passed the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in 1966 and later amended it. The FOIA gives U.S. citizens the right to access federal agency records so they can understand their government's operations and activities.
A variety of language services are provided free of charge to non-native English speakers, such as qualified translators and information in other languages.
SAMHSA complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, religion or sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity).
The Plain Writing Act of 2010 requires federal agencies to write "clear Government communication that the public can understand and use."
