About the edit on Nano Machine (Web novel)

I am relatively new to Wikipedia editing and have much to learn on my own.

I saw that you removed the entirety of the Characters section on the article I wrote about Nano Machine due to it being a "Huge amount of unreferenced information".

According to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Writing about fiction#Sourcing and quotations, "The plot summary for a work, on a page about that work, does not need to be sourced with in-line citations, as it is generally assumed that the work itself is the primary source for the plot summary." and this includes short descriptions for the characters listed under Plot.

I believe that there was some mistake here and I wanted to start this talk page to see what exactly is the issue.

As for the "Please don't add again without reliable and published third-party sources.", I will cite, once again, from the link I sent above:

"It is generally assumed that the work itself is the primary source for the plot summary.".

Also, this part of the edit summary confuses me a bit, as citation references are not meant to cite just third-party sources, so I would need a bit more clarification on that. Ooyooyko (talk) 09:30, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
