"Rafael Torres' team did a fantastic job. Our Lynnwood/Brier project was originally to replace the wooden deck railing with aluminum and glass on our second story deck along with replacing the wooden steps with a composite material while keeping original stringers. We got three bids, one professional came out and was rather condescending and his bid was twice as high as the other two. Rafael's bid and another pro both made similar bids for the labor; however Rafael brought an English translator with him and offered up many references, also because of the suggestions he made, I chose him. I am so very glad. We also got a bid from a Manufacturer that would do the installation, so I could tell that Rafael was offering us some better ways to save money, while also increasing the safety of the deck & staircase plus adding to its long term durability. Rafael also suggested that I check with Soundcedar in Mount Vernon to explore all the composite options and rail and glass choices, he also promised that the people there would give us a better deal on materials if they knew I was working with him. Rafael was right, and he also agreed to pick everything up from Mt Vernon (about an hour away from the job site) that we order and install along with taking responsibility for the measurements. The scope of the project increased, because we saw how great Rafael's team performed, and some other work we knew needed done that we postpone previously, we went ahead and had Rafael's team do for us. Things I really liked about Rafael. He was accurate in his bid, and never nickel and dimed us over our change requests. He returned phone calls, usually though when I called him he picked up, and when it went to voice mail, he always returned the call same day. He kept his commitments, if he said his team would be there they always showed up, no excuses. We had a vacation in the middle of the job, and we were not comfortable having people working on the property in our absence. Rafael said no problem, they would do other work for other customers, and when we returned they would resume the job. The quality of the work is great, I am so proud of our deck and staircase transformation. I offer my highest praise and solid recommendation that Rafael is a contractor whom knows how to build solid decks that will exceed your expectations."
