"I found Brian from Black Forest Landscape via the Internet search (formerly Scapes Northwest). He had EXCELLENT reviews, but you can't believe everything you read on the internet - can you? Asked Brian for a bid and from the initial meeting we liked him. He was very personable, had a great eye for the design that we wanted in our backyard (which was dirt to start with), answered all of our questions, went with us to suggest and purchase plants for the backyard... He and his crew did an exceptional job! In addition to landscaping the backyard he added a retaining wall for the garden, pathway on the side of the house and re-planted some plants from the front to the back of the house. And to top it all off - his bid came in lowest. You can't go wrong with Brian - give him a call!"

"Alan and his partner were wonderful to work with all the way through! Al was super responsive whenever I had questions, and was very flexible with timing, as I was traveling at the time. We got him to stain our fence, and they did a beautiful and thorough job. It looks fantastic now. I also had to ask him at the last minute to stain the neighbour's side of the fence and they had no problems accommodating me at all. Their price was very reasonable (much more than most quotes I got), and there's no compromise in quality of work or materials used. I'm pretty sure I'll be using Al and his team for most of the work on my property going forward. Finally, the most important thing of all, is that Al is a trustworthy and honest guy, and really pleasant to work with. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough."

"I hired this company to wash the front and back of my 3-level townhouse and my second story deck made of composite wood. They did an excellent job, They were professional, efficient, and tidy. My house and deck both look great! I would definitely hire them again. My only complaint (and the reason for the 1/2 star off) was that they were scheduled to come to me between 12n and 2PM. They arrived bright and early at 8AM. I was not at home but was able to get home quickly to see to them. I didn't get any sort of confirmation email or phone call the day before, so not sure what happened. I just glad I was able to salvage the appointment. Other than that, I highly recommend this company."

"They removed a very large maple tree from my backyard. Tree was about 65 feet high, 5-6 feet in diameter at the base. It was a very difficult job, but they got it done, and hauled away all the branches and wood. They are very skillful at a very dangerous job, even in very nasty weather."

He came home 3 times in total to provide me a quote and also markings for the backyard for me to get an understanding of how the project will look like when finished. He setup line markings and eventually, the project turned out exactly the way he had committed. His support crew is really good and all of them are really cheerful and polite and I will hire them in a heartbeat. Importantly, Pedro and the Ruiz team are folks I can trust and will highly recommend for your house work. Their timing estimates were right on the mark and I felt really confident to go with them due to the partnership that Pedro showed in making such a huge investment for my backyard.
