His crew arrived promptly on the first day and efficiently tore out the old sod and prepared the surface including leveling it off in preparation for the sod placement the next day. They again arrived on time and worked carefully to lay the sod exactly as I requested, paying close attention to detail, especially around our jagged natural stone patio. "Steve gave me a very reasonable estimate from the start, $1500 less than the other contractor we talked with. His employees showed up on time, performed the work to my exact specifications, with no hidden fees or problems. The job was to tear down and replace a 100 ft. by 2 ft. retaining wall, incorrectly installed 5 years ago, that had collapsed. The job was completed in 3 days, which included digging and installing a proper footing (not done originally), back filling behind the wall with 1 foot of stone for drainage (also not done originally). Adding drain tile and using landscape fabric to keep dirt out of the drainage field. Finally, topping it off with 4 inches of topsoil and grass seed. Excellent work overall!"
