We were really impressed with them. They are extremely knowledgeable. I was extremely impressed by their knowledgeable staff. They are a little bit more expensive than a big box store but the people are so knowledgeable that they can look at a picture and know what plant it is. They know their stuff. We had one of their garden people come out and look at our place and then we went and bought $700 worth of fruits and vegetables. They have survived and done well. It is a fairly large nursery and the guy grows the plants here. He probably knows as much about plants as anybody around. He's been here for 20 years. When I buy plants from him, I know they will work. They do planting and tree trimming. It is so good to have a local place around. He gives good service and he knows what the deer will eat and what they won't. They will plant them for me if I want. During the winter they do tree trimming. They are an outstanding, honest and local place that I can trust. I used him all last summer and I use him every year. I have 3 acres so I am always buying plants. I FAVOR THE OSH STORE IN REDWOOD CITY BECAUSE OF THEIR WILLING AND KNOWLEDGABLE STAFF. I NEVER FEEL LIKE I AM IMPOSING ON THEM. THE NURSERY STAFF IS PARTICULARLY HELPFUL. This nursery is definitely one of the best when it comes to quality plants and knowledgeable salespeople. They have a beautiful selection of outdoor and indoor plants. The wonderful part about this nursery is the knowledge of the staff. If you tell them where you want to plant it and what type of effect you would like for the plant, they can tell you what to buy. They are more expensive than a lot of other places like Summerwinds, but the quality of the plants and knowledge of the staff is worth the extra expenseshow more

I have used their service services several times. They have nice hanging baskets. The nursery is nicely arrangeed and is not set up like a warehouse with a big corporation. They offer roses and other plants that are unusual and not located at every other type of nursery. They have a nice wall out front that is always decorated with arrangements throughout the seasons. The plants are very well maintained and look green and healthy. The staff are friendly and willing to answer questions. I was shopping for indoor plants and admit I do not have a green thumb. Happy to say that several months later the plants I purchased haven' t died but in fact are thriving. My green thumb hasn't changed so can only attribute it to the fact that the plants were healthy and well-maintained to begin with and only need regular watering to keep them growing.show more

They are really good people, very helpful and the plants are always really helpful. They do a lot of events to bring the community together and to drum up business; which is kind of nice. They do garden demonstrations fairly regularly where they bring master gardeners in to show things like tree or rose pruning or talking about vegetable gardens; that is very helpful. THEY ALL ARE VERY HELPFUL, RECOGNIZE ME AND THEY ALWAYS KNOW WHAT I WANT AND IF I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THEY HELP ME IN ANY DEPARTMENT. I like them a lot. They are probably the best nursery in the East Bay. They are not cheap but they have a large variety of plants and the people working there are all very knowledgeable. There are times that if I just want a fairly cheap plant, I will just go somewhere else but as far as good advice and quality, they are the best.
