Thank you for a great job on our kitchen!! We had an idea of a new kitchen design. Eric was able to improve on our ideas and they designed a beautiful and color coordinated kitchen. We were impressed with the variety of cabinets, hardware, plumbing fixtures, etc, that were available to choose from. Done Right Home Remodeling displayed a great deal of knowledge, professionalism and most impressive was his patience with us, listening and talking about the changes and how they would work the best. Our experience with Gridley was very good. The work was done within the budget and was completed on time. The fit and finish of the cabinet installation was perfect. Their project manager kept us in the loop as things went along and was very responsive to any questions or feedback. Where do I start! I am so happy I found a trustworthy and reliable contractor in Walnut Creek. Our house was basically a complete rebuild from a 1941 bungalow. We expanded the existing footprint by more than double and also added a detached garage. S&L was the absolute best! We bought the house in February but were not able to complete the drawings/permit process until a whopping 7 months later-- by which time a substantial amount of our resources were used up by paying rent + mortgage+ storage. The contractor we had planned to use could not fit us into his schedule so we were in a bind-- I found Jacob and contacted him immediately. Everyone he has on his team was courteous, responsible, and just very good at what they do. the craftsmanship that went into our house was much better than many of the new construction track homes we have seen. I only wish we found him sooner--since his business also does the architectural drawings-- we probably could have gotten into our house several months earlier. As I was very nervous about making changes to my home, the team at S&L Remodeling and Design made me feel comfortable and excited with the new renovations. The process was quicker than expected and I now have a beautiful kitchen and bathroom spaceshow more

The people who came to the house were nice enough but the resulting design was very basic and not of much use. It also showed they did not listen to what we asked for as the design contained elements we said we did not want and did not include ones we asked for. Update: After posting this review, the company contacted me and offered to refund double my money if I would remove my review. Since what happened, happened, I declined the additional money. They did refund my $50 and I have upgraded my scoring based on their contacting me and sending a refund. Since they have done no actual work for me, please rely on other reviews regarding the quality of their workshow more

We feel very fortunate that we found Patty Hayos of Signature Kitchen & Bath Design to design the layout of our new kitchen. She spent all the time needed to get it just right, including designing two different scenarios for us to choose from. Patty is very experienced and creative in utilizing every square inch to maximize counter space and cabinet space. She knows the product backward and forward and knows every option available. She showed up early one morning to receive the cabinet delivery at our house to insure that everything was delivered as ordered. We took advantage of her recommendation of a contractor to install the new kitchen and are glad we did. Sean Prudhom and his team did a great job of installing the new cabinetry, appliances, tile backsplash and floor, and reworking all the electrical needs to meet code. The final result is a very beautiful and very functional new space that serves as the heart of our homeshow more

When we had finally decided it was time to redo the kitchen we started searching Angie's list for a reparable counter company to start the process. She came across Monarch and decided from the reviews that we should take a look at what they had and talk to them. What a great experience. Jody, one of the owners met us at the show room and took us through the process. Having a partner that is extremely anal and used to work in corp facilities made Monarch's already great process flow with ease. As Jody and Lisa went through all of the options and talked shop, I did my usual thing and wandered around and looked at all of the samples. I had one hit my eye that was just beautiful and was a brand new product to the market from Corian. Of course as always it was higher price then we were planning but after a little begging of Lisa to find a few extra dollars in the budget it was the final choice and we could not be happier. Monarch took all of our draft measurements that Lisa had done with all the drawings and started the bid process. Since it was going to be a complete kitchen overhaul we also needed a plumber, painter and cabinet worker. Jody had people she recommended who recommended other people and before you knew it we had the team in place and only needed Monarch to come out and reaffirm our initial measurements. They were always on time, kept in constant contact with us and worked with us to make sure the sink and stove we bought could be cut into the counter tops and installed. Having such a great team at Monarch made the process appear to be seamless. The counter top company that they purchased the slab from also had the sink we wanted so it was all ordered at once and the Monarch team had that to use as a template for the new cuts. We cannot recommend this company enough, they are professional, nice to work with and do fantastic work. The corian counter top was processed to look like natural stone, having said that there is always the issue of cutting and matching where the cuts are. Monarch did a fantastic job. If you didn't know where the cuts were to begin with you would not find them. You will not go wrong and will have a fantastic kitchen if you use Monarch, and Jody and Ken's commitment to quality, customer service goes above the industry standard. I am still working with them. I am still in the process of purchasing cabinets from him. The rest of the construction is going to be through a general contractor. The design was about $950. He has done a lot of kitchens and they are up on his website, so I can see his work. He came out to the house, looked around, and helped us come up with the design. He asked me what I wanted and put it together. He is staying with in the budget. It seems like he is knowledgeable and has an eye for design. They are easy to work with and he gave me a lot of options. I think I feel more comfortable with his design capabilities. He seems like a good person to work with and they are going to be custom madeshow more

What a great experience. Very professional, great ideas of what to do with our kitchen and how to solve some issues with our space. Very quick comprehension of the space and options. He answered questions and took the time to come up with an interesting plan that included wall removal, refinishing of our fir floor and sanding of the subfloor as well as new counters and cabinets. He has a quick grasp of small details as well as the big picturshow more

Jim came by and listened to what we wanted for our Kitchen, and made some recommendations for us. He was easy to talk to. He went back to work on the design and floor plan. He returned with an initial floor plan that required some tweaking to get right. At the time he worked with us he was between secretaries and that affected his turn-around time, but we don't fault him for thatshow more

Lisa met with us at her office in Alameda, helped us decide on appliances (provided recommendations based on quality and budget). She designed new kitchen, worked with us on cabinets, sink, faucet, backsplash, paint, lighting. She recommended a contractor to do the work and acted as general contractor. She was there whenever we needed her to answer questions and to interface with contractor. We love our new kitchenshow more

It’s a German company. They were really high end but their stuff was really, really great. They handled all new appliances and everything. They have a designer there that worked with me. I don’t have to hire a designer or an architect. They did everything. They came out, measured everything and they answered every question. They marked every single little outlet. They were just wonderful to work with. They were the best company I have ever worked with. It’s extremely high quality and I have nothing bad to say about them at all. It was a wonderful experience with them. They were expensive. The price was higher than everybody elseshow more
