Our Regions

Western Area Power Administration employees conduct power sales, transmission operations and maintenance and engineering services at 51 duty stations throughout our service area. Our main offices include a Headquarters office in Lakewood, Colorado; regional offices in Billings, MontanaLoveland, ColoradoPhoenix, Arizona; and Folsom, California; and the Colorado River Storage Project Management Center in ​Montrose, Colorado.

Our Services

Western Area Power Administration annually markets and delivers more than 25,000 gigawatt-hours of reliable, cost-based hydropower from power plants at 57​ Federal dams to rural electric cooperatives, municipalities, public utility districts, Federal and state agencies, Native American tribes and irrigation districts.
